a few years ago i would've thought all these futuristic games would be sweet. now it's died out. as much as i want a new WW2 shooter, this is exactly why they stopped making them - it got kinda old. BO3 got boring pretty fast though so i've more or less moved to rainbow six siege completely with some plans of battlefield.

Doing something over and over again expecting something to change, we all know what that means.

Yep, in space. I'd rather have them go all out without jet packs and stuff though. I don't want the stupid in between stuff

if it's in space it'd be pretty cool to move around on 4 different axis with a jetpack, kinda like with aircraft (vertical, horizontal, pitch, roll)
no idea how the controls for that would be though |

Eh, there's been games with a complete 3D space flight. I just hate how they think they are so bloody original and creative, as if it's never been done before.
Hell, Borderlands the PreSequel let's you play in a low-gravity environment the entire game, with jetboosts and such.
So yeah, this isn't the first game to do this, despite what the developers think. |

I'm not talking about low gravity, I'm talking about zero gravity with jetpacks
honestly the closest thing to what I'm asked for is like how you control an aircraft in a flight sim, but your aircraft can move forward and backwards |

Halo has done 3D flight. Destiny was supposed to, before Activision decided to cut half the game out.
007 Nightfire has a level in space in which you can actually float away from jumping/boosting too much.
Like I said, they aren't the first. They just act like it, giving me another reason to hate anything and everything CoD related. |

but it'd be interesting i want another WWII game as much as the next guy but that's probably not going to happen unless DICE announces Battlefield 1944 and activision decides to jump into the competition
something similar may also happen if DICE announces 2143, they'll just churn out another futuristic one |

Aye, I'm sure it actually could prove interesting, especially compared to recents, but I'm just salty over the interview/article I read about this. They patted themselves waaaay too much on the back for this idea.
I miss MoH, which ironically, I think CoD was started by most of the same people after leaving. |

you guys should've seen the post announcing the rumours. not one positive comment. anyone else read that article on how a red orchestra developer talked about how COD ruined the new generation of shooter players? it's pretty interesting actually. to sum it up he pretty much talks about how unrealistic and how easy the game really is, meaning people have never even had to get good and expect the same from everything else.

I honestly feel if these rumors are true it'll more than likely kill COD.
But treyarch set the standard.
The forum security detail is on it's way to lynch you. |

I'd agree that CoD ruined this generation of shooters, but not specifically for that reason. I blame CoD for the heavier focus on online gameplay.
They showed you can release the same basic thing year after year and still be successful so long as it has PvP. |

I think it's better. it's a bit more than "whoever sees who first"

"I think it's better."
ah. this is a problem with where the series is heading, since it's not exactly "floating everyone's boat". a good majority seem to want WW2 back but i've seen a few say that it sounds great.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't take much to please CoD fans, thus the reason they get to open up for E3 damn near every single year.
Also, anyone else tired of that bloody 2015 CoD champion ad? It says, what, that he was/is like 14 or 15?
That shows how little effort the games take. |
