| Every single time I see a paid access game, I see people either A. wanting to make the game free or B. making the game available in tix. I just realized that I remember a game that actually had a system solving B (obviously some game devs do indeed need money, so we can't really solve A).So, this is my idea: Instead of making the game paid access for beta, alpha, and whatnot, make a gui inside the game saying "PLAY" and maybe make some smaller text under it saying that you need a gamepass to make the screen disappear, otherwise you'll just be walking around the game with a black screen with the word play on it. Then, make the gamepass accessible in tix, possibly around 300-400 tix (if my math is correct, this is 15-20 robux per buy if you use TC, that's only 10 or 5 less robux than paid access respectively). This way, people can spend saved up tix on the gamepass.Also, an answer to a question that people will most likely askPeople can use trade currency, but what if you wanted to make the price, say, 15 robux less? Just make the tix price 10.Just wanted to get this idea out for any game devs who were tired of people complaining about paid access. Hopefully this idea helps you guys. |

@itachi
All too true.
As someone currently using paid access, (http://www.roblox.com/games/344042353/Boundless-0-1-5), I do it MUCH more for the sake of preventing people from giving a thumbs down when the game is clearly nowhere near being done. When someone has to pay for something, they're expecting to like it, and therefore are less likely to have negative feedback.
It's definitely nice to be receiving at least some level of payment, but it assuredly is not (At least for my studio) the main reason for instituting paid access.
Much love -GO |

I'm sure with some scripting, someone could make a trial. For an hour, you're free to play the game and do whatever you want in it. After that hour is up, you have to pay or you're locked out of the game until you pay. |

Oh, good idea :O
they could use a datastore to store the time, and when the time runs out the gui pops up
