It's just a bit glitchy. Okay, it has lots of glitches. Like, a ton. But they can be cool sometimes.

There's also the bug where your first nest is underwater. It's not as bad when your first is on land and a later one is underwater, since you can choose another nest as your home after that. I've had a late-game nest in a small lake, which was more funny than annoying.

I got it off of Steam so it came prepackaged with all the patches. Hello exoskeletal limbs and asymmetrical parts!

You can play without the middle wheel, it's just more tedious.

@blue I always found tribal the most annoying stage. The easiest way to get through is by being completely nonviolent and befriending everyone, which makes you religious in civ stage.

for whatever reason, all my successful playthroughs end up as warrior archetype which probably explains why I'll accidentally go genocide in undertale when I don't want to

Consequence cards are why you tend to be warriors. Granted, doing warrior with optimal cards can be really easy. It's also really fun to play as a warrior.

btw my first successful playthrough took a day to get to space stage as a warrior archetype and the creature's name I played as in that playthrough was called the Forn image of it now: https://gyazo.com/88666077b986d645e31ca70fcdc4ef5a image of the first evolution (non-cell): (Had to take in game because the Spore website doesn't like me) https://gyazo.com/9f8728a4fcab47afd9e1f8678b072c14
