Most obstacle course games lack scripts entirely aside from the free models.
I'm able to script and I've been trying to make my "obby" more engaging.
So far what I've done is made it seem more lively through use of parts animated by while loops, added an intro GUI, added rotating decorations, made the game's time quickly go from day to night as to bring out both neon lights at night and reflection at day, added giant rotating exploding axes, added obstacles that generate a random direction to fling the payer upon being touched, etc.
Despite all of this, I still feel like the game is missing a lot. There's so much more that could be done to make it a competent game.
While I feel confident that it's better made than a lot of obstacle course games, that's nothing being that it takes very little effort to be better than games that are simply effortless.
Any suggestions for unique ways that I could use scripting to improve an otherwise bland and simple genre? |

| Made a typo. The last example I listed from the paragraph stating some of the things I've added so far should say "player" not "payer." |

Could make the level your on save. Make nice looking guis that catch peoples attention. You can also make gamepasses and earn robux.

Thank you, I've been thinking about doing things like that. So far I've introduced use of a gravity coil that I modified as a game pass and I am working on making another game pass give the user the ability to double-jump.
While I have some GUIs I plan to add new GUIs that briefly become visible when the user advances through levels to congratulate the player. Level saving would also be excellent and I'll try to work on that. |

animations might be cool, also you could make different sets of stages have different themes and a nice build.

GD pls Anyway more originality would only make it more appealing. Obbies won't ever be competent by itself.....
