But all joking aside, I have been playing Civ. Still haven't gotten to a point where I got the league of super nations and all that yet, but I've got a really great start playing as Sejong.

@Cat I think nobody talks about Civ 4 primarily because not many people play Civ 4.
Everyone ackowledges that in some areas, Civ 4 easily beats 5, like diplomacy and the interaction with advisors. Civ 5 does some stuff better, too. But everyone, myself included, tends to go for the bigger, flashier game. To which I can't really blame. A huge part of Civ's appeal is the sense of scale.

@Sly Well, I got it with all the DLC during a huge sale on Steam. And the DLC is substantial enough to make me say it's almost not worth playing the game without it.
If you don't wait for a Steam sale, you're looking at $50.

The base price is $30, but the expansions are really like 2/3 of the experience. Steam doesn't want to show me transaction history though for some reason.
