BE IT ENACTED BY THE STATE OF ROCKPORT GENERAL ASSEMBLY HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:
Section 1: The "Rockport Department of State" shall be created & held by the Owner of the State of Rockport.
Section 2: The Secretary of State shall be the Chief Executive of the Department on behalf of the Governor.
Section 3: The Rockport Department of State shall embody an official Ambassadorship of Rockport where as Ambassadors shall be appointed to oversee the communication and represent the interests of Rockport in relation to other States. Otherwise, they will be known as Rockport's Partnered Representatives to other groups.
Section 4: The Governor & Secretary of State shall be vested with the power to appoint an Ambassador to act as a delegate between Rockport and specified Allied State.
Section 5: The Foreign Affairs Committee shall be the main policy crafting body of the Department responsible for Advising and Counseling the Governor & Secretary of State as well as voting on any foreign affairs related matters deemed necessary by the Secretary of State.
Section 6: The Offices of the Deputy Secretary of State, Chief of Staff for State Department, & Commander of Diplomatic Security Forces shall be established as Department Director level positions.
Section 7: The Foreign Affairs Committee shall be headed by the Secretary of State & a Deputy Secretary of State which would be responsible for chairing committee meetings.
Section 8: The Rockport Department of State shall employ a Security Force that will responsible for protecting and serving the needs of Ambassadors, Committee Members, Deputy Secretary, Secretary of State, and Rockport Governors on diplomatic missions or visits to foreign States as well as protecting all Rockport Embassies.
Section 9: The State Department's Security Force shall be overseen by a Security Commander which would responsible for hosting tryouts and training the Security Force for combat and protective roles within the Department. The Security Commander shall be an ex officio member of the Foreign Affairs Committee and appointed by the Governor on behalf of the advice of the Secretary of Homeland Security.
Section 10: The Rockport Department of State shall be organized as such and may be subject to change by the current Secretary of State or Governor at any point in time. ⇒ Owner ⇒ Rockport Governors - The Governor/Lieutenant Governor of Rockport ⇒ Secretary of State - The Chief Executive of the State Department ⇒ Deputy Secretary of State - Assists the Secretary of State ⇒ Chief of Staff - The Press Secretary for the Department of State ⇒ Security Commander - Manages the security of diplomats. ⇒ Foreign Affairs Committee - Policy crafters; those who advise the Secretary of State ⇒ Rockport Ambassador - Rockport's Partnered Representatives to other groups. ⇒ Foreign Ambassador - Partnered Representatives to Rockport. ⇒ Security Detail - Those who protect diplomats. ⇒ Suspended - Self-explanatory. ⇒ Security Agent-In-Training - Security Agents who are waiting/undergoing training.
Section 11: This legislation shall be overseen by the Office of the Governor.
Section 12: All Laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby null and void.
