I would like to start listening to more bands, but the problem is i don't hear anything about most of them.
I like both new and old.
Some of the bands and artists i listen to now are Metallica, Foo fighters, Megadeth, Black veil brides, Danzig, Slash from guns n roses, Green day, and Unlocking the truth.
I am new to the forums,so i'm sorry if this is the wrong section to post this.
Thank you in advance. |

First off Pandora could probably recommend some stuff for you. You start a radio station by typing in a band you like and then it plays a song that represents the band. If you like it Pandora starts trying to play songs from that band and other bands like it and trys to stay away from things you dislike.
Also hers a list of a few genres/bands in the genre/songs
Kind of Punk? (Idk you said you liked Green Day so here it goes) Offsprings - Self Esteem, Come Out and Play Rise Against - Savior
Nu Metal KoRn - Coming Undone, Freak on a Leash, Blind Papa Roach - Last Resort, Infest Linkin Park - Runaway, Last Resort
Ehh I don't really care what genre it's in after this point
Iron Maiden - Run for the hills, Children of the dammed Chevelle - Take out the Gunman, The Red, Closure Tool - Schism, The Pot Five Finger Death Punch - Wrong Side of heaven Slipknot - Eyeless
If you want to go for something a bit heavier nothing wrong with starting with Mudvaynes L.D 50 album

"'Some of the bands and artists i listen to now are Metallica, Foo fighters, Megadeth, Black veil brides, Danzig, Slash from guns n roses, Green day, and Unlocking the truth.'"
"danzig is the only good artist in your list"

quality suggestions r8 8/8 the following is me trying to give some advice rip
Anything from Rush's discography except for Hold Your Fire and Presto. HYF and Presto aren't rock. It's power pop.
Um... Slayer's late 80's stuff is good. Everything from Reign in Blood to Seasons in the Abyss. I guess.
"Images and Words" by Dream Theater is also pretty good. Because Progressive Rock is literally the best.
What else. Testament. Listen to lots of Testament. Also listen to a lot of Exodus. Oh yeah, and Havok. Some of the greatest not mainstream thrash bands out there.
Maybe Weezer's debut album. If you're a nerd. Maybe Sodom's earlier stuff. If you're a weirdo. Maybe Babymetal. If you have no life.
