| If a tree was falling down, and no one was there to hear it, what sound would it make when it's falling down? |

2*sin(x) = 1-2*cos(x)
give the solution set over the interval [0,2pi)
A strange game. The only winning move is not to play. |

Red, This is The Only 4th Out of Many Questions I Have Answered Correctly, I have Gotten Stumped, More Like Im not Entirely Sure But Here is this I Found That i Hope Can Help you
sin x = 1 + cos^2x
Use the relation sin^2x + cos^2 x = 1 or cos^2x = 1 - sin^2x
The given equation can be written as:
sin x = 1 + 1 - sin^2x
sin^2x + sin x - 2 = 0
sin^2x + 2sinx - sin x - 2 = 0
sin x(sin x + 2) - 1(sin x + 2) = 0
(sin x - 1)(sin x + 2) = 0
sin x = 1 and sin x = 2
But the value of sinusoidal functions sin x and cosine x lies in the set [-1, 1]
Therefore the root sin x = 2 can be ignored.
sin x = 1 gives x = 90 degrees. |

2sin = 1-2cos (2sin)^2 = (1-2cos)^2 4sin^2 = 1 - 4cos + 4cos^2 4(1-cos^2) = 1 - 4cos + 4cos^2 4 - 4cos^2 = 1 - 4cos + 4cos^2 0 = 8cos^2 - 4cos - 3 (Some quadratic formula math here)
cos x = 0.9114,-0.4114 x = arccos(0.9114),arccos(-0.4114) x = 0.4241 radians, 2.7175 radians, 1.9948 radians, 1.1468 radians
I was lazy so I didn't take out any extra values.
A strange game. The only winning move is not to play. |
