You're just swallowing ROBUX for no reason.

ROBLOX can literally generate money out of thin air (via ROBUX store) and yet we still have this 30% market fee in place. THIRTY PERCENT, TOO!

If you sold an item for R$1,000,000
You'd get R$700,000.

That's R$300K lost.

Just an example.

There is no reason for this fee to be in place. It'd also be much more rewarding to actually get the amount of R$ you want (especially after spending real money to get these items in the first place) just to have the item's value decrease and no longer be in your favor.

Remove the marketplace fee once and for all!

Since they're doing the update which will basically force people to buy BC or Robux to actually have any money then yea marketplace fee needs to be removed.

Exactly, the removal of tix is only going to make things worse.

I disagree. Marketplace fee is an actual real-life perspective. You have to deal with taxes and fees like this in real life.
Say you won $100,000 dollars on a game show.
You would receive less than $50,000 because of taxes and fees.

You might say, why put this into a kids game? Roblox is trying to encourage well spending while discourage things like gambling and high spending.

Just because that rule applies in real life doesn't mean it needs to apply in ROBLOX.

That's not my point, though. My point is that we spend tons of money on this website and we are encountered with this stupid stuff, meanwhile ROBLOX admins can literally generate money from thin air. Not just ROBUX. These people can generate real American currency.

It is not only to simulate real life- This keeps ROBLOX getting money.

If every time you purchase something, it loses 30% of its value, then that means that users will be buying more robux, to compensate.

ROBLOX gets money from this, and removing it would be detrimental to ROBLOX, as a company.

@Prestonpop Idk where you live, but where I live the tax is nowhere near 30%.
Mines near 4.3% but hey yea let's call 30% a real life number why not.

Yeah no sales tax here is close to 30%. But that's still nothing compared to the 90% which NBC suffer.

I'm not talking about that kind of tax. There's other kinds of taxes and fees. Look up the taxes and fees of the lottery. I believe you receive less than half of your winnings. Same principles apply here.

@Prestonpop But selling clothing, and stuff like gamepasses isn't like the lottery.
It's a sales tax which again is nowhere near 30% in most places irl.

It also prevents inflation. This is where robux/tix become of less and less value because more and more of it is out there.

For example, say there is 1 million robux out there right now, but there was only 500,000 robux last year.

Without this 30% marketplace fee, there would be around 1.5 million robux out there at the moment. In return, prices in catalog would skyrocket thus making NPC players and lower class players feel left out and have more complaints than they already do to "equality"

That's the real reason.

There's probably multiple users with twice as much as that in their account alone.

There's ROBLOX's money issue covered - then people that would be interested in investing time into ROBLOX (and money, should I add) would buy BC as it only makes sense. If you don't plan on buying expensive limiteds, don't buy BC. Who do you know that has bought an expensive limited and is NBC? Nobody.

It's not like it makes a difference anyway because to make even the slightest impact on ROBLOX you need to be Builder's Club anyway.

Very well, but you do realize that robux and tix are nowhere near a real life currency? There's a whole lot more of real US cents than there is robux out there.

The Marketplace fee is probably close to proportionate to real life sales tax in sense that, say for example 6 robux = 1 US dollar. Thus, 30% = 5.13% or whatever the sales tax is in your area.

Look up inflation in Ancient Rome if you haven't learned about it already. It was one of the major downfalls in their society.

The 1.5 million robux was just an example, obviously there is way more robux out there, and none of my math is completely correct because I don't feel like doing real math equations to such a menial argument.

Inflation is present in your everyday life. You know how a candy bar used to only be a 25 cents back in the day, now it's a dollar. Without sales tax in real life, candy bars now would be two dollars.
See my point? Sales tax prevents robux from losing their internal value.

Many people, like you, don't realize how close Roblox is to a real life society. Learn your boring history and you'll realize how proportionate some of the aspects of Roblox are close to Ancient and Present day societies.
I'm done arguing, if you see my point, very well.
If you don't, then let it go.
My work here is done.
