Now before you start reading my Jim Sterling style look at Ticket removal, I would like to point out that this will most likely be quite long, so if you are the sort of person who pointlessly comments "Too long, did't read" or can be easily triggered to panic and kill the family pet at the sight of lots of text, please leave now or paste this into google translate to have it read to you or something. Thank you.
(This will not be about saying I don't want ROBLOX to remove Tickets, instead this is about the effects I see in how Tickets are being removed)
Lets begin by saying that ROBLOX is well within their right to remove tickets and lets face it, no one would complain if it was this way from the start, however changing what has been the standard for so long to something that will make the game less fun for everyone is still a "Name of male body part here" move and no amount of "earnable gifts" or free items can change that.
That said, what I am going to focus on here today is not about clothing or anything like that, instead I want to talk about the quality of games and the death of popular free to play games. Where as once a game could earn Tickets through simple visits that everyone could benefit from, ROBLOX are now forcing anyone who wants to make their place profitable into a "Pay to play" format.
The FREE games that was once made up what ROBLOX is all about, are likely to become no more as no longer is someone likely simply make a game for people to enjoy, all because they will get nothing out of it. So how do they fix that? Well now they section off content and over powered items to those who pay, meaning good-bye to simple fun games and hello to a wave of games designed as a business, made to push you into paying up, you might as well re-brand ROBLOX now to "AAA Market Simulator" and I hope I don't have to explain how off putting the "pay to play" normally model is, especially in something that used to be free, we can already tell with the hands of the ROBLOX community at the controls that the methods of getting people to pay is going to be very twisted and forced, let alone far from fun and off putting to new players.
Don't get me wrong, I know people will still make games for the fun of it but they are not going to be the big games that many players have come to enjoy and there are certainly going to be a lot less of them. Even though, yes most games already do feature game passes, the fact that developers are now loosing out on what was once their profit of tickets, now means that those developers will try to regain such by sectioning off more to those who pay and being more forceful about such. Everyone will want a little more of their hand in the cookie jar, which will simply not work because that cookie jar is not going to be as deep as it used to be, with only paying customers having the most of that sweet Robux cheddar and non paying players having next to nothing to pay those developers with.
With a lot less going around and people holding onto what Robux they do have, not only are ROBLOX making good quality games that brings traffic though the site, less profitable for the developer (and therefore less likely for people to actually build such in the first place), they are also forcing games to take on the less appealing "pay to play" format, which means well done ROBLOX, more people are buying Robux! Well done! Hold on, what is that? Ah, yes! However with this community while they are getting current players to go to their wallets, new guests/players who are not invested in the site don't like the pushy pay to play nature of peoples games and messages saying "pay up" every 5 minutes. I guess you did not consider what this would do to the growth of the site did you? Let me explain it for you, people won't pay if they don't like what they see and people won't like what they see if all they see is a machine designed to try and push them into paying. Weird right?
I honestly don't think that removing tickets is too much of a bad thing, it is how ROBLOX will also be removing the reward of bringing traffic though the site by making your own games and making it so that there is less to go around that is what can lead to the complete downfall in the few good quality games this site has and the community market in general.
SO TELL ME WHO BENEFITS? ROBLOX who trades in their business model of enticing people to pay for a business model of everyone should make everything pay to play and also we forgot about growth? Developers who have to trade in their creative visions with a profitable business model? or the customer, who has trade in their Tickets for Robux before they all burn or something. Correct answer: most likely no one.
I have not even covered how games such as showcase builds that can't be turned into pay to play formats will suffer and how people trying to get their game recognized will have nothing to advertise their place with (meaning no one else can enter the market), but I hope I have made my point, of how this will ruin what ROBLOX is about and how no one will be better of. While ROBLOX can straight up lie all they want about this being about getting rid of bots etc, if that is what they wanted to do then they have gone the long way round and no one is falling for it (The BIG topic of how ROBLOX should instead be looking into sorting out the comments, etc instead of this, is one for another day).
If you want more on this, I highly recommend Dayren's video on the matter (just search DayrenX on YT)
Feel free to leave a comment calling me names such as "Butthurt mc fungus face" or actually make a first of this site and leave a comment consisting of your opinion! Then spam it on the comments of your friends games or whatever you lot do (Note: Don't actually do such, that is what I call a comedy).
Thanks for reading. Note to ROBLOX: Sort it out... |

but yeah i agree
and even with those small group who want to get in to the buisness, sound effects, music, ads, and dev products all cost robux to upload
so you have to either already be in the buisness and succeeding, or buy robux or BC and then get started in the market

| If you look at the general picture of Roblox they're already worsening the game removing the tix or not. This is just adding the relish on the turd crust they call a game. They have already made our profiles look so ugly and dumb. They removed a lot of things that don't have to be removed (example KO's and WO's and Tix) and they keep things that should be removed (example, their bad physics engine and BC games). |

Thanks for that real_words. Your the second person to make, what I hope is a joke.
The idea of something being too long and then you not reading it is that you also don't then comment on it. |

| Forgot to mention this: Roblox should start following this philosophy; "If there is nothing wrong with something (Tix), don't change it or remove it unless you have an exponentially great reason". |

Thanks for the reply LegendOfPaintballing.
You are very right, The idea of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" definitely applies to this topic. |

I have to agree with this. I don't like the idea of removing tix which can lead to a wide array of problems. The roblox economy could be doomed because nbc's who will no longer have tix or robux thus lower sales for merchandise in thr catalog. Even though there will be free items given out it won't appeal to NBC players because the free items will be common and won't stand out.

Thanks for the reply GirlsRejectMeDaily,
Reading though the post however should show you how this effects ALL members of the game, even if you are a paying customer. |

Tickets are useless these days, the only reason why is cause roblox started selling the majority of their hats in R$, not to mention the price floor..
I am quite angry about it but at the same time accepting, and lets be honest.
We are all going to miss tickets alittle bit.

Thanks for the reply StudWork,
Like I said in my post, it is not really about the tickets, it is more in how this is leading to less to go around and therefore changes this will course in developers games. |
