Since players were upset about the announcement of the price floor update, some parts of it had to be changed because the players demanded them. Not one change cannot happen to this update, and therefore we need to completely support the removal of Tickets. It's for the better good, and none of the developers will be hurt from this update. Developers don't survive off of Tickets. |

"Not one change cannot happen to this update, and therefore we need to completely support the removal of Tickets." too hasty of a conclusion
"It's for the better good," how
"and none of the developers will be hurt from this update." yes we will
"Developers don't survive off of Tickets." i do for some people who prefer to have a steady income not from people wasting their money on them, this update is horrible
plus tix have been one of the most defining features of roblox since it was first created |

"please be mature about this." how is he not being 'mature' about this
"I'm fine with the removal of tickets." i don't typically recommend using subjectives when arguing a case against someone
"If people leave; Good! One less whiner."" frist off, you used the semicolon wrong second, you used capitalization wrong third, you used the term 'whiner' wrong and used a generalization fallacy (forgot the specific name of the fallacy) |

I'm completely fine with the removal of tickets.
However, updates are usually announced with nobody knowing what's coming next; People get upset because they just suddenly announce a new feature that is going to affect them, with no say in it.
The testing site would have been the PERFECT way to gauge what everyone thinks of it, ESPECIALLY for such a big implementation. Wouldn't it make sense to test this, if it's going to be the biggest change to their platform?
tl;dr roblox needs to use their test site more often. (edit: also completely remake the forum software; it's so ancient and i'm sick of having to play "where's waldo" with my text when a word is blocked all the time)

oye sry @thebest
"The devs will need to buy builders club which means MORE income." some of the devs are here to make stuff and get rewarded for making the stuff-- andre in another post made the point that it eliminates the NBC dev base
"The update also stops scam devs" true dat, those games were getting p annoying
"and stops the horrid tix alt farms." they could've just set a limit of accounts per ip (the more obvious solution) they obviously can do this because of something they've done before called ip bans
also i legitimately laughed out loud when reading the blog post: "The impetus behind removing tickets is not to make more money. The primary reasons have always been product simplicity, botting, and not incentivizing certain behaviors."
basically they said that they don't want to make more money from this even though they're disallowing anyone to earn any currency unless they have BC or buy it: they just want to remove bots and make people log in less
sounds pretty stupid to me this is an all-time high stupidity of the roblox mods guys-- i didn't think it could get any more stupid from when they decided to remove their old physics instead of keeping both engines |

This update is horrible, there's no way to deny that. People arguing on the side of this update don't even explain why it's a good update. If I made 3 points that explain why the update is bad, then instead of people replying to explain why the update is good the supporters try to say "Oh, those 3 things won't happen!" and then ignore their side of the argument.
I am yet to see ANYONE explain a good possible outcome from this. There are dozens of reasons why people are against it but I haven't seen anyone give a good reason to support it. ROBLOX themselves have yet to give a valid reason as to why the update is happening (Simplicity and bots are not a good reason, btw, there are plenty of people who have argued against that; Myself included). |

No support. Forum poster has no idea how Development works.
I can see both sides to it as they are trying to deflate the incredibly inflated market place, but this is not the way to do it.
Devs will stop working on their games as it is not worth their time.

@andreja6
False. If ROBLOX removes the tax, NBCs will then turn to creating content that HAS to be enjoyable enough to be worth getting a fairly priced game pass. This will create a chain of more enjoyable games, creating competition and a need for even better games, causing NBCs to get rich too, as R$ is the only thing they can earn!
Aside from that, R$ is the only thing NBCers can earn. Tix is what caused R$ to go up in price. So now, ROBLOX can't seperate BC from NBC with R$, all of us get a piece of the cake

Look they are getting rid of tix because its currency is practically useless. Stop saying we should get 15 robux a day for nbc because one of the main reasons to remove tix is because of tix bots and alts that ruin the games currency...
Many games have pay to get premium currency and nobody actually minds... Taking away tickets will help the community in the long run.
Stop saying "devs wont make games anymore because they survive on the 1 tix a visit system." YES DEVS WILL NOT MAKE EASY CURRENCY but at least it will push people harder to make better games to succeed and gain some profit.
Look on the bright side.
THERE WILL NO LONGER BE BAD TIX GRABS WHERE PEOPLE MAKE GAMES AND GET NOOBS TO PLAY FROM CLICK BAIT. It will take a decent individual to support a game he/she likes therefore pushing developers to make good games that people will actually enjoy instead of silly front page tix grabs to drag noobs in for that one or 2 plays.
There is mass inflation from things like trade currency bots and place play bots.
Some people will have to learn a skill in developing by building scripting GFX design and get good in it to gain profits from doing jobs for other successful developers therefore there may be an increase in good games because the easiest way to get currency will be through skill.

"one of the main reasons to remove tix is because of tix bots and alts that ruin the games currency..."
That is not a problem with ROBLOX. No one gets rich from creating alts and "botting". Even if it were a problem, there are other more obvious ways to solve this, one of those ways being limiting the amount of accounts that can be used with a single email.
"Many games have pay to get premium currency and nobody actually minds..."
Where are you getting that information from? I'm friends with quite a few >small< developers and even they earn a significant amount from visits alone, and/or NBCs buying cheap gamepasses.
"Taking away tickets will help the community in the long run."
No it won't. There is absolutely nothing that points to this. There is no explanation as to why that'll happen.
"Stop saying "devs wont make games anymore because they survive on the 1 tix a visit system." YES DEVS WILL NOT MAKE EASY CURRENCY but at least it will push people harder to make better games to succeed and gain some profit."
No it won't. It'll make devs want to make more p2w games to, in a way, "force" people to buy their expensive gamepasses to have any fun on their games otherwise they just won't get anywhere.
"Look on the bright side.
THERE WILL NO LONGER BE BAD TIX GRABS WHERE PEOPLE MAKE GAMES AND GET NOOBS TO PLAY FROM CLICK BAIT. It will take a decent individual to support a game he/she likes therefore pushing developers to make good games that people will actually enjoy instead of silly front page tix grabs to drag noobs in for that one or 2 plays."
That is not a bright side. You can easily ignore those games. Infact, if you pay attention to those games at all you're part of the reason they're still happening. This update will simply encourage people to make more paid access games, or more p2w gamepasses which, in turn, ruin the experience for people who don't own these gamepasses.
"There is mass inflation from things like trade currency bots and place play bots."
Where are you getting your information from? Because there's not. If an NBC wants to get 100 Tix from bots or alts, they need to have 100 separate bots or alts. If they want to "farm" the daily Tix, that won't do any good either due to the 90% tax for NBCs. It is not a problem, stop pretending it is. As I said before, there are also other ways to fix it if it actually was a problem.
"Some people will have to learn a skill in developing by building scripting GFX design and get good in it to gain profits from doing jobs for other successful developers therefore there may be an increase in good games because the easiest way to get currency will be through skill."
Sorry, no, that's not how it works. It may take skill to make a good game on ROBLOX, but it takes luck to get people to play it nevermind buy your expensive products. For one person to succeed many others need to fail, and that tends to be decided via luck.

Bruh step out of the way real dev commin' through.
Keep tickets. Your superiority complex is going off the charts. No tickets = No more currency from visits. That means every game is going to have to be paid access or be full of game passes. I don't like putting game passes or putting my games on paid access for a free game. That isn't very fun and full of disrespect for the product.
