The Montreal Impact were in town to play FC Dallas, and of course, Drogba made his season debut in Frisco. In case you didn't know, Drogba has not played and will not play in four of Montreal's first five matches due to the artificial turf. It messes with his hip and he has said he won't play on those surfaces. Toyota's Stadium pitch is natural grass, so he played tonight, coming in at the 70th minute.
However, before the match, I went down to the pitch to get some photos of him before the match.
Also, in case you didn't know I take photos of FC Dallas for Big D Soccer, an SB Nation site that covers the club, so I had a media pass.
He walked within 5 feet of me and I don't think it's hit me yet how close I was to my favorite soccer player of all time.
Who woulda thunk two years ago I would have done this.
Just thought I'd share.
Alright buh bye. |

| he wants $5M a year to lay down in front of the net and make failed stretch passes and the stars gave a conditional 2nd, an NHL defenceman, and a prospect for him |

| Are the FC Dallas games fun, exciting, w/ a good atmosphere and good chanting? Only asking because they get a bad rap on reddit r/mls for their "sparse" crowds |

@gumbo
They aren't as into it as others, but so far, in the two home matches, they've been 90% full for the most part. |

| he actually doesn't have to block many shots in dallas because the offense is good enough that they dont have to sit in the defensive zone, so he can make good plays and take time |
