This isn't a suggestion, its just an explanation of how the overall removal of tix will result in a huge loss for Roblox as a whole starting at the customer level (the players) and leading all the way up to the CEO level.
-This should be obvious, the elimination of tix means free to play will no longer have the means to buy clothing items and must now rely on this absolutely terrible idea of gifts through play.
-What many do NOT consider is that this will also hurt developers across the board. Without tix, there is no longer any reward for earning place visits. I predict to compensate, most developers will either be creating massive amounts of developer products, or simply make their games paid access only. This will ultimately mean the death of free to play on roblox.
-The bigger developers are SCREWED more than anyone. The players who most everyone is here for can no longer easily leverage dev ex.
-The part of roblox employees responsible for creating hats are also hurt by this since the reliance on the gift system means they will have to be regularly creating free hats. This can go one of two ways, possibly both: lower quality hats due to demand, or the quality of the community degrading all around.
Now I do understand the economic idea to which this change has been made (which is laughable due to inflation of the economy brought on by dev ex.), but I find it hilarious that the group in charge has fallen into the same trap that many games literally existing on this site have fallen into. (examples to follow) |

Example 1: Hex: Battle arena
I love Hex, and I use it for many examples.
Hex started out as a very great game with a dedicated fan base and much potential (much like Roblox)
unfortunately, this potential was wasted due to a lack of attention to the player demographic.
By this I am referring directly to the terror that is the sniper rifles of that game. One shot capabilities, longest range in game, and no reasonable debuff to balance it out. And of course, the better one gets with these sniper rifles, the easier it is to dominate.
Consider these experienced sniper rifle users as our bc,obc, tbc members, everyone else being free to play.
Just like its not very fun to die over and over again as soon as you spawn, its not very fun to be limited by the power of gifts, some of which you may not have the ability or time to get.
What happened to hex was, since it was no longer fun to the lower tiers, they stopped playing, new players couldn't just pick it up because they were immediately frustrated and stomped out of existence.
Do you see the pattern that is forming?
If this change is not reverted, and SOON, this site will follow the same rules. |

this is completely false, they are putting out free items, go to catalog > clothing > free > bestselling > last week |

Ok, here is your cookie, they don't have to COMPLETELY rely on the gift system.
It is still rendered moot: See point 4 |

After the tix removal, I bet they will find ways to reward developers.

It won't much matter. Without tix, many of the developers will be seeking other ways to finance their every day lives. This means less time for development, less unique games.
More of the same is never fun, and with this new update literally stealing money out of the developers pockets, you can be sure that this will happen. |

| That was covered under point 3. So either you don't fully understand how deep this cut is going to hurt everyone or you're just here to be a troll. |

| That's why I made the suggestion of an In-game thing that would help, but you were like, nope. |

Because you're suggesting reintroducing tix with greater buying power. Even if they do implement it (they won't), it will be so rare for just the lowest level that it will be ultimately disappointing due to the restriction on the number of games it can appear in that will be highly populated.
The bigger reason this will not happen is because tix didn't even financially effect roblox staff income.
What they essentially did was say "We're banishing the production of bread which you peasants need to survive and forcing everyone to buy meat from the king's hunting grounds"
The peasants will starve off, the nobles will no longer have servants and the aristocrats will not have buyers for their products, so they too will starve.
The end result: the kingdom of Roblox will dissolve.

No, I really do believe the people running this site lack the foresight to know where this is going.
That or their entire Logistics/PR team need to be fired. |
