Watch and see all your free options for clothes and hats just be different coloured/patterned t-shirts and hoodies with pants being jeans/shorts.
And your free hat selection will be glasses, headphones, and ODer hair.
Well played Roblox |

They did say they would allow people to make hats right? If so, then we don't have to worry about robuxs..

Why are you complaining? You have a membership

They are going to handpick the people who make them for free so dont expect anything but low quality generic hats like i said before.

@Science, Someone can have a corporation and still care about their members enough to actually take their members opinions and thoughts into consideration. This was basically done out of consideration for all paying BC members and top Devs that make them the most money possible. They are money hungry, if they weren't why the hell would they tax a kids site? |

implying that roblox doesn't care about its players
if they truly didn't care, they'd make Roblox pay-to-play, not have these awesome updates, and just overall make it undesirable to even use the site |

@Science, In my opinion they have made a lot of terrible updates for well over a year+ now. Roblox is now basically becoming pay-to-play, with many restrictions on NBC players, now the restrictions getting tighter. I mean come on, what kid is gonna just play a game and NOT want to dress up their character in cool clothing and hats and get cool gear? But nope now they want you to pay for everything because you're no longer earning money from the site with no place visits and no daily login incentives. So yes it's basically pay-to-play now. And for a lot of users, it is undesirable to use the site. A lot of people quit each time a terrible update comes out. And to me I barely come on considering the site is honestly undesirable to me now. This is the longest I've been on in a while, my friend sent me the blog post and me and my friend took to the forums. |

@gym
You're really exaggerating all of this
They have not made a lot of terrible updates. Most of them have been phenomenally useful, such as solid modelling and smooth terrain to name a couple.
Roblox will only become pay-to-play if you need a membership to build/play games. If you want the nice things, you need to give something in return. Just like IRL.
Someone who's not going to want to dress up their player probably likes roblox for its main focus: Making games. I should know, I'm that someone. I just bought clothes because of all the money I've amassed from place visits
A lot of people quit each time an update comes out? Good. They probably whine and groan over everything roblox does anyway. |

Roblox since 2010 has stopped making updates that weren't in the benefit of gaining income.
This all sounds fine and peachy, but it's only a matter of time until they screw us over yet again. |

@Science, They have made a lot of terrible updates, and they're forgetting there's actually bugs and problems with the site that should be fixed and going straight to things that we don't need to do. They don't NEED to get rid of tix. And they could have at least got the communities opinion first rather than saying "We're definitely doing this, you have 30 days."
Some updates are useful yes, I said most updates are not. I personally do like the solid modeling update, I've made some cool things with it. But the majority of updates I've seen just this past year has not only been terrible in my opinion but terrible in the forums opinion too, because they also blew up on the forums like this update currently is.
You're being technical. Yes technically it is still free to play, you can play certain games, BUT -You now can't buy clothing without buying Robux/BC -You cannot make personal servers without BC -NBC'ers are limited to only one game of their own. -NBC'ers are limited to only certain games (Some games are BC-Only/pay-to-play) -NBC'ers cannot buy gamepasses without paying for robux now. -NBC'ers cannot sell clothing. -NBC'ers cannot own a group. -NBC'ers can only be in 5 groups they want to be in. -NBC'ers cannot sell models. -NBC'ers can't buy anything from the catalog now without buying Robux/BC etc. etc. Now when a kid comes on the site and sees all this and all the things they can do with BC/Robux they beg their parents to pay for it. They know the kids are gonna want it. Therefore they are skimping by on the "It's free" aspect of the game, by setting strict limits on NBC'ers so they want to buy BC and Robux which = more profit.
BASICALLY If you want to actually get the full experience, it's pay to play. But yes if you want to be technical you can sign up for an account and play a game for free. That is why I said basically.
If someone wants to make games and not dress-up, wouldn't it be nice to make more than just one game open to the public at a time? Especially for groups needing multiple places open. And not like it matters now but having more games open gave you more profit off visits.
People don't just quit for no reason, usually. They usually have a complaint, and if the complaints come in large numbers then it's not an amazing update, now is it? |
