It's kinda cool. The animations used are terrible in the demo though. It'll add some interesting new elements to sword play perhaps? We could design very complex sword and shield mechanics with this that won't look totally ridiculous. But the animations created by roblox are an absolute joke, BUT they do look more realistic than what we've currently got.

I think that even if they released R16 with the trash animations I would still enjoy it. You can just over-ride the animations when making your game anyway this is just making a cool new rig to play with. |

It certainly will take a great deal of Roblox's time converting all assets to accomodate R15. Though they probably won't get to all of them, it's certainly will be long. R15 sure is to allow developers with more options and flexibility. Luckily, R15 is an option, meaning you can still use the original. Of course, there are a lot of glitches with R15, but I believe Roblox is working really hard to fix it. I do hope to see a lot of games make use of it.

| But if R16 wasn't optional, it'd be terrible. Every game you'd create you'd have to get over ridden animations. You'd probably just make a plugin to do it. But for games that aren't updated regularly, and are now cult classics, it'd be an issue |

R15** Animations will probably work since the joints we have right now will probably still exist, R6 and R15 aren't that different in the first place

@Os, R155, in terms of what you can do with them, are very different and far more expansive. We will achieve similar postures in an entirely new, more realistic way. Animations will no longer be simply moving 6 parts, but 16, enabling more complex poses.
The issue with this though will be lag. In games like Phantom Forces, this will kill a lot of people with internet already wounded with the large amounts of data in the game |
