Hello there, citizens of Norfolk.
Recently, there has been a NCPD application that the deadline only lasted four hours. As a result, people have been commenting negative about this, and yes, I am one of them. We do have all a life, and we cannot just stay up all night to send an application, especially us from Europe.
As a conclusion, I expect the applications to last minimum 12 hours of due time, to avoid missing them out. This is to solve the issue that many people gets irritated of, and to make this fair play.
Sign or Support this petition to make a minimum 12 hour deadline for every Applications in Norfolk!

12 hours is still a ton, especially with the new application approval system in place.
2-4 hours is fine, if they are opened in the afternoon.
No support.

@ProcTolic
You clearly don't understand.
Have you ever heard of "timezones"? There is no 'afternoon' on the internet.
Your type of 'afternoon' is midnight for someone else. The reason for this forum is that it is unfair for some people in other parts of the world, because people are asleep.
I believe that if you were in our situation, and applications for a position you would desire, for example NCPD Captain.
If you would be asleep during those '2-4 hours' that you consider fine, I doubt you would find that fair.

No support. They get tons of applications in a matter of 2-4 hours.
They don't have to open them, anyway. They already meet the minimum member limit for the new employment act council implemented.

| No support. You know how many applications we got in those 4 hours? We are still not done accepting applicants. |

@tankguy another one of my points
Seriously, everyone needs to start thinking of the other side of things, besides just the fact that they want more time to send in their applications.
In the short 2-3 hour time at 10:00 PM EST, the NCPD got upwards of 30-40 applications, which all had to be revised by almost all of NCPD SGT+ and be passed through 4 stages of approval to be accepted.
This is just making it more difficult for us, and what I meant by "afternoon" was in EST (what the large majority of Norfolk is in).
Making it 12 hours would just make the applications extremely selective since we would get hundreds of them, and only be able to accept about 20. Also, it would take days or weeks to get them all processed.
All of the previous points made on this are very one-sided, and don't think about what happens after you send them.
Bad idea, hope that CC realizes this and doesn't go through.
