INTJ-A

-Used to be that I played video games most of the time, but they don't hold my attention for long anymore. I still like them equally as much, I just lose interest quickly.
-Read science journals (particularly virology-related ones, but it's not limited to those)
-Guitar
-Used to sing, not so much anymore
-Look at mundane stuff under a microscope
-Continuously post science-related stuff on OT, even though they continue to garner like 0 replies
-Walk around my neighborhood, usually really early in the morning or late at night
-Very rarely, under select circumstances when I have nothing to do, I will invite a single, very particular friend over for maybe a day

i do that but with linguistics threads, however my ipa transliteration threads seem to get 20+ replies at a time.

I just never get replies on any threads, period. It's why I really slowed down with them.
I'm probably just boring, which isn't entirely a bad thing.

yeah, it's really all about how you catch your audience.
you can trick them into subconsciously replying to your scientific threads by masking it with an image of something else, such as humor.

you also need to directly reach out to your audience, not make it a blog. you need to create an open opportunity; ask them questions, cause them to self-reflect.

What, like with memes?
(JOKE)

"you also need to directly reach out to your audience, not make it a blog. you need to create an open opportunity; ask them questions, cause them to self-reflect."

I guess I just expect people to find questions and discussion on their own, because that's what I've always done. I get that some people need discussion topics laid out for them on a silver platter, but it's not something I'm used to needing, so I don't ever really remember to do that.

surely, but that's a habit you will need to change in case you wish to obtain more communication and replies.
the children here are young; they don't know much. but few of them are also intellectual and quite curious. it's just about asking and making an opportunity they find approachable. try it out for some time :]
also remember to make it seem interesting, adapt to your audience

"surely, but that's a habit you will need to change in case you wish to obtain more communication and replies."

This is also something that I should probably address (which you know about me anyway, but still).
I don't actually talk to people very much. I post on forums and stuff a lot, yeah, but it's not necessarily a conversation when it comes to OT (because not much on here actually warrants in-depth conversations). I know what a lot of my conversation issues are rooted in, but it's not something that I can fix, really.

"the children here are young; they don't know much. but few of them are also intellectual and quite curious. it's just about asking and making an opportunity they find approachable. try it out for some time :]"

I've never been the best at simplifying things to a more comprehensible level for younger audiences. I'm sure a lot of the reason why none of my discussions garner much attention is their wording. I have a hard time wording stuff in a way that a layman can understand without searching up words every two seconds.

yes, I've observed. but that is your problem; you don't necessarily wish to change or adapt to your audience, thus you mustn't expect a response.
but frankly, it seems like you don't expect a response either, but wishing upon it is unrealistic if so

I don't really post expecting responses anymore. I don't know why I still post them, but it's another habit of mine.
I'm a creature of habit and routine, and it's really hard to break it once I get into the habit of something.

"take the test"
I'm sorry, I have to interfere
the test is simply bullcrap, as it's very subjective and doesn't take in consideration why you choose exactly what you choose. this is also why many people believe their MBTI "changes".
it simply isn't possible; MBTI isn't actually a personality description, but a theory based off of how cognitive functions within the brain causes humans to react and behave. - must I repeat; NOT a personality description.
I won't get further into why the test is BS, so I'll just copy paste something I wrote recently here

first letter
E - extrovert
your energy comes from being around other people. if you're alone for too long, you become depressed

I - introvert
your energy comes from being alone and spending time doing things you enjoy. you are drained when you spend too much time with too many people

second letter
S - sensing
you trust experience more than theories and books
you like to do one thing at a time
you prefer to start at the bottom then working up to the big picture
you focus on your surroundings especially with your 5 senses
you're more practical than creative

N - iNtution
you trust theories and books and your gut instinct over experience
you like being ambiguous and work at multiple projects simultaneously
you prefer to look at the bigger picture and then work to the bottom line
you're more creative and practical

third letter
T - thinking
all of your decisions are made out of PURE logic with no regard as to how it hurts other people around you
or what influence it has on your values. you don't take others feelings in consideration.
often, thinkers have trouble identifying their feelings

F - feeling
feelers base their decisions off of little logic, but mostly how it affects other people and their values.
they tend to care a lot about others wellbeing along with their own emotional health

last letter
P - perceiver (I call it procrastinator)
someone who procrastinates
someone who doesn't have plans and doesn't keep track
someone who
very loose and stays open for new possibilities; they wait to see what happens
good at being spontaneous and works great under pressure

J - judger
organized, generally.
they don't enjoy procrastinating, they like to keep track and have to-do lists and plans
they want to be prepared
