also cortana, windows problem reporting, etc.
you can check your network usage with everything turned off but just windows 10 itself and you'll still see a lot of packets being sent to microsoft |

frankly i dont see the harm in it. so long you refrain from radical activities and adhere to the path of an average civilian, you'll discern that there truly isn't a difference. it's not as if microsoft will send the kind of inappropriate content you watch to your parents |

@that
But it's completely unnecessary and kills all privacy that you ever have on your own computer. I'm not gonna pay to be spied on. |

True but it doesn't mean we shouldn't give up the fight for any kind of rights to have privacy and just accept that coporations will do as they please
If I don't agree with your policies then I won't support your products period. |

"But it's completely unnecessary and kills all privacy that you ever have on your own computer. I'm not gonna pay to be spied on." as i claimed earlier, privacy is an illusion. i'm not getting further into that, since it's a whole other topic, however i disagree. what difference does it make? how can you know it's unnecessary, are you aware of what microsoft uses this information for? seriously, they're not leaking or sharing your information in a way it will have a negative effect on you, in fact it's most likely used to further enhance the users experience in the future. so exactly WHAT is the problem |

| why are people complaining about crap they can't feel, touch, hear or see; stuff that won't affect them negatively (if it even has an effect at all). |

Google spies on us, too, by the way. That's how google ads work.

"True but it doesn't mean we shouldn't give up the fight for any kind of rights to have privacy and just accept that coporations will do as they please" what exactly is microsoft doing wrong? i must direct you to my reply to vineshroom.
"If I don't agree with your policies then I won't support your products period." yes, period. no more whining about stuff which doesn't endanger or harm anyone |

in case somebody attempts to counter-argument me with this statement: "we aren't directly affected by poverty, torture or oppression in others countries, but does that mean we should turn our blind eye away because we simply can't feel, hear, smell or taste it?"
it's not the same let alone comparable; surely we won't have any direct link to the cruel happenings in other countries, but they are harming and endangering others well-being. this microsoft "spying" does NOT harm anyone at all, it doesn't leak your information or content, it doesn't blackmail. it does absolutely nothing and i anticipate that it's veritably done to (as i said) enhance future user experience and products |
