Sometimes, people overstay their welcome. Look at me! I'm a shining example of that. Yet, just because people say they "don't want" something doesn't mean they're telling the truth. That's just them politely asking you to stay there and do that job better. Wait a minute... It's Watchmojo Jojo here bringing you another top ten list that you're going to suffer through. Sometimes, TV shows overstay their welcome. Sure, they start off good, but how do they end? Not so good. At least, most of the time. Today, we'll be counting down those dreadful TV shows that really, really suck. So, grab your remotes and start turning that dial.
#10-Supergirl: Supergirl is dreadful. Why it's dreadful is beyond me. You have shows like Arrow and The Flash that tell a story so good that Morgan Freeman could read it and it wouldn't sound any better. Yet, Supergirl is just too cautious. The show doesn't tread outside of the box like its predecessors and doesn't portray Supergirl like the unstoppable force she actually is. With the show garnering as much negative attention as it already is, CBS should play it safe and take it to the chopping block.
#9-The Simpsons: Well, you guys saw this one coming. Watching any new episode of The Simpsons is like hiring Adam Sandler and Prince to dress up like Thor and fall on Kevin James and die in slow motion. It's just awkward and disturbing, to cut it short. It's no secret that the TV show hasn't been funny since the 1990's, and the writers know it. In fact, they openly address it. Why they don't care is beyond me, but that still doesn't change the fact that the show needs to end.
#8-The Big Bang Theory: Much like The Simpsons, it's quite obvious to tell how much this show has declined in quality. The cast seems quite bland and the show hasn't really gone anywhere in the past couple of years. Sure, the show does its job of portraying the nerd stereotype to the T, but the Big Bang Theory seems formulaic and predictable every episode. We get the same boring romances, lame jokes and overused puns that make the show seem more like a chore to watch than anything. Every comic has to come to an end sometime.
#7-Spongebob: Yeah...we all need to admit it sometime. Spongebob is quite blatantly the definition of overexposure. It's been on TV for close to 20 years and has pretty much cemented itself in the childhood of nearly every kid. Although it was funny when it first came out, it took a nosedive in 2005 and hasn't picked itself up since. Although some newer episodes give the occasional laugh to older fans, it's safe to say Spongebob needs to take a trip to Davy Jones locker...permanently.
#6-Teen Titans Go: Teen Titans Go is the definition of torture. A little over 10 years ago, Cartoon Network ends probably the best TV show they've ever had. 10 years later, they bring it back...as a comedy. The cast makes fun of themselves and the past series as well as other superheroes. They eat pizza, destroy the town and somehow wreck the batmobile. They pretty much turned it into a Green Day album. Nonetheless, TTG garnered a severely negative reception by everyone older than 10 and generally cemented the fact that Cartoon Network has lost its touch. The sad part is out of every DC Nation show, including Young Justice, that Cartoon Network dropped, they kept this instead. What a shame...
#5-Star Wars: Rebels: Taking the fight to Disney now, Star Wars: Rebels has done a lot more damage than construction. When Disney acquired Star Wars a few years ago, they put on their corporate greed supersuits and ended The Clone Wars as fast as they could. Despite the series making up for the joke that the prequels were, Disney felt they could do it better. Except, they didn't. Instead, they killed off a critically acclaimed TV show and replaced it with...crap. Yep! Complete and utter crap. They traded lightsabers and guns for colorful hair and a purple thing that flies across the galaxy and is too afraid to kill someone on screen. That's Star Wars, everybody! If I were Roxy, I'd start having a weird craving for Rebels right about now.
#4-Fairly Odd Parents: Despite Butch Hartman is a genius when it comes to TV shows, F.O.P shows the nasty side of kids cartoons. Although most cartoons rarely if ever surpass three seasons, F.O.P has been going on for roughly 20 years now. The show hasn't been funny since 2006 and the show has certainly overstayed its welcome. Not only on Nick, but with fans alike. As much as it pains us to say it, Cosmo gets annoying now. Actually, that wasn't painful at all. Deep down, we all know he does. We all know Da Rules, but we all wish this show would end.
#3-The Amazing World of Gumball: Cartoon Networks 2010-2011 resurgence of cartoons were generally good. Regular Show and Adventure Time were a big plus, but Gumball was the odd one out. He looks like a character from Fairy Tale and the entire cast of the show didn't exactly scream interesting. Yet, the show beat everyones expectations and turned out to be quite humorous. What about now, you ask? Well, it's not. The TV show has gone downhill. The show lost its luster and the humor isn't exactly the best. Sure, The Dictator was funny as hell, but the episodes after that...eh...not so much. It's safe to say The City of Elmore needs to go home.
#2-Regular Show: What is there to say? Regular Show is just plain regular now. Man, I never thought I'd say that. Regular Show was one of the best cartoons CN had going for it in 2010. It was a hit to the audience and better yet, it concerned parents! That never happens now, unless your kid listens to Nickelback. Then, things start getting weird. Like, really weird. Regular Show had humor that was actually funny and a cast of characters that were unique. We've only seen that in one other show. Due to the shows mostly adult oriented humor and occasional swearing, Cartoon Network had to enforce a new regulation on all of their PG cartoons. Due to this, Regular Show has declined rapidly in ratings. It's painful to say, but Mordecai and Rigby's jobs are on the line, and this time, it's not looking so good.
#1-Adventure Time: What can I say? Adventure Time isn't the best time of day anymore. Not that you guys haven't noticed. When does the show even come on anymore? Adventure Time was a really good TV show. Stalker Horse was the best episode ever. The show broke boundaries, exploded into the mainstream and even entertained parents. All in all, it was perfect. Yet, overexposure, new regulations and lack of ideas got the better of the show. Now, it just pushes Cartoon Networks P.R. down everyone's throats and dares to be cool again. The original writers left and the story got weird...in a bad way. You have cool weird like James Howlett and then you got weird weird like John Travolta. Sadly, this show isn't the James Howlett weird. With the show existing for past 5 years now, it's safe to say it's time for this adventure to end.
Like the list? Hate the list? Pissed because half of Disney XD's lineup wasn't listed? Flame. |

being honest to my opinion, Steven Universe is an entertaining show to watch. Just like everything that has a mix of quality, potential and luck. Their fandom gets to transform into a bunch of stereotypical Tumblr adolescents.

Yeah, but at the end of the day, it's another knockoff of Adventure Time.

No, Adventure Time is mostly comedy with serious elements. Steven Universe is a blend of both.

I hate all reality TV, if I wee to make on of these they'd probably take up all the spots. Along with sitcoms, but that's it.

if Steven Universe went off the air, a large fragment of my soul would disappear and I would be a turgid husk of the being I once was.

Push5, we love both shows. But when they run too long they get bad, and its depressing to see the show decrease in quality.

South park is utterly insane on how long they have been able to keep that thing alive and well. I am confident it will outlive the voice actors! XD!
