OVERVIEW
The following documentation is to provide clarity and understanding when it comes to the demotion and promotion of all members of The Great Army of Britannia. The following rules and guidelines are to be followed at all times.
Meeting the standards of the criteria outlined below does not mean a soldier or officer must be promoted, it means one is qualified to be promoted. It may take longer for one soldier/officer to be promoted than another as each individual progresses at a different rate due to a variety of reasons (seniority, activity, skill etc.)
In addition, a recommendation does not guarantee promotion. A recommendation can for a variety of reasons fail to result in a promotion. Please do not post on the wall that you were recommended for a promotion but your rank hasn’t changed. If you are concerned that your recommendation got lost along the way, contact the officer that recommended you.
Please note; there is a restriction in place that prevents new members of His Majesty’s Army from ascending the ranks too quickly. A member of HM’s Army may not be promoted if they have already been promoted within the last 24-48 hours, the ultimate decision being up to the High Command.
