As of 4:46 AM PST, a recent discovery shows that the Cascadia Subduction Zone is highly overdue for a major Earthquake. New predictions show that it has a 97% chance of going off by the year 2020. This will cause many of the volcanoes in the Cascades to get triggered and simultaneously erupt, and a massive wall of water will spread several miles into Washington, Oregon, and northern California.
These new predictions were made when a group of researcher noticed that the Pacific plate was on the brink of getting launched upwards more severely than previously thought. This would likely cause a devastating tsunami that alone will do more damage than Hurricane Sandy did. This would cause almost imminent destruction of Portland, Seattle, Victoria BC, and Vancouver BC. Scientists are now urging people to leave the area as soon as possible, because total destruction will reach all the way over to eastern Washington and Oregon. Along with the recent discovery, several groups of researchers are pointing out that the Cascadia Subduction Zone is undergoing an unusually high amount of seismic activity, and there's a 7% chance of it happening by March this year.
The earthquake this would trigger would be somewhere between 9.0 and 10.0, by far one of the strongest the world would have ever seen, making a 7.0 earthquake look like a joke in comparison. Many groups of scientists are urging people to leave this area, because this will definitely cause destruction of 3 US states, as well as a decent size of southwest Canada. A 9.0 Earthquake would be enough to literally launch some small houses a few feet into the air. As fun as that sounds, it would be extremely devastating and preparation is advised among most groups of scientists studying this event. It's not about if it will happen, but when.

My dog is also acting really tense for some reason now, she keeps pacing around the house nervously which is pretty similar to what animals have been shown to do before natural disasters occur.

| It wouldn't be 9.0 that's a worse case scenario and it couldn't possibly be a 10.0 that would destroy the easy pacific!!! |

10.0 is a worst case scenario, it probably won't be close to that. It however will definitely be around a 9.0

| 10.0 isn't possible and anything above 8.3 is unlikely |

The lowest it's going to likely be is around 8.5, anything less than that is unlikely.

I'm in inland PA. On a hill. 700 feet above see level. I'm fine. I only need to worry about a sinkhole swallowing my house.

Sinkholes are made when pockets of air cannot hold the weight above it. So the ground above it collapses. This mainly happens depending on the stone below it. Pennsylvania has limestone, a lot. Limestone erodes MUCH faster than normal stone. So sinkholes are more common.
They are not caused by a fault, or a tremor. Or earthquakes. (BUT earthquakes happen in Pennsylvania, they are weak luckily)
