So I can only build things that align with the x,y,z axis if that makes sense. How do people add curves to shapes. For example, Ultimate Driving has roads that curve perfectly. And the side walks align and are parallel with the roads and curve too. When I try to make roads like the ones in ultimate driving; corners poke out, and the parts aren't parallel, etc. How do you guys build roads or think TwentyTwoPilots build his roads?

Use "Unions" and "Negate" in the top bar (In Model tab). Say if i have a Cylinder and i have another Cylinder, i'll make one cylinder negate and one that stays the same, and put them in side (however you want them to be) then union them, if this didn't help:

Unions isn't the only answer, ^.

I made a YouTube video that showed how to make roads to (How to use Unions and how to make Roads or Sidewalks).

For roads that make a 90 degree angle, I usually use the two roads then a cylinder put at the angle so it makes a perfect turn. Making sidewalks takes a bit more explanation, but as you get better at building you'll find little tricks to making these things.

Thanks for these answers but I know how to use negate to make complex shapes, and I've used twentytwo's road plugin and this other one but they are both very limited. And I can do roads that have 90 degree turns but I can't work with ones that curves; wheter is squiggly curves or they elevate etc.
So say I just want to use a plugin like f3x or cmdutl, it there a set of rules that can help me make these curves like, the angles and brick lengths?

http://www.roblox.com/games/19225632/Seoul-South-Korea-February-2016 Look at her city, her bricks that make the roads are parallel to each other. When her roads curve, there are no jagged corners coming out. She is never online so I can't ask her

There are many ways to make curved roads such as flattening a cylinder and placing it in a corner for a curved road corner. Or you can use the plugin, use solid modelling or place blocks at a good angle

1. Unions.
1. Get some parts arranged. 2. Get some more parts arranged, and these "more parts" will be the hole you want to make. 3. Select all the "more parts" and click "Negate." all these selected parts should turn pink and become what is known as NegativeParts. 4. Select the NegativeParts and the regular ones and click "Union." if this does not work, try making multiple unions. 5. To get rid of a Union and revert it to its original form, click "Seperate." All buttons involving unions (Negate, Union, Seperate) are found in the MODEL tab. 2. Very, very, very, VERY tiny parts.

Scripting, unions, or plugins, in order of part efficiency.

I believe there's a road-builder plugin if you want to go that route. You can also use solid modeling (i.e. union and negate)
