An fps without a leaderboard.
It would make the game less score driven, liberating the player. |

It wouldn't liberate anyone. All it would do is take away a leaderboard.

If you're good then you'll want to leaderboard to know how good you are doing.
If you're bad and don't want to see how bad you are you don't look at the leaderboard.
Stalking the leaderboard will only make you play worse, but it won't necessarily effect anyone else.

I think someone should do an experiment.
Have a game with leaderboards 24/7.
Update it with a leaderboard that can only be seen after games.
See if there is an improvement on top players. |

I hate the people that stalk statuses.
It's really bad in world of warcraft, people try to exploit top dps by attacking the boss. |
