I'm trying to make my physics cannon as accurate as possible. Is 196.2 what Roblox uses for gravity or is that an estimate?

Many people use :GetMass() * 196.2 or something like that, so yeah, I think so.

Supposedly, dead-on accurate. Of course, if that is what it is, then it is not entirely accurate because computers don't support 196.2 as a number.

196.2 in binary is 11000100.̅0̅0̅1̅1 (Repeating infinitely)
So of course, it can't be 100% accurate since computers do not support it.

No, because it can't be represented by computers.

Did you not read? 0.2 does not go evenly into binary.

If you go from single precision to double precision with 196.2, you get 196.1999969482422, which is obviously NOT perfectly representable.

Jarod's right, again.
There are 10 types of people in this world. Those that understand binary and those that don't. |

NVM I got it. The equation of that line was about 15 * math.sqrt(x)

Are you really trolling? You troll here, you troll on the 2^YourUserId thread, you troll about FilteringEnabled being worthless... Yeah, I'm ignoring you henceforth. I need a plugin that deletes posts from people who troll. That would be cool.

| Also, Jarod, you should read up on IEEE 754. It's a standard that almost every computer uses for floating point numbers. Binary doesn't have a fractional part. |
