If you just think I'm a random newcomer, I'm not. This may be a terrible idea. I'm Keranique.
So, I was thinking of a story similar to the show Life After People, and a little bit of The Walking Dead, but I was going to mix it up with a little sci-fi, like future technology all the sudden getting abandoned. It may sound cliché, it's more like a wanderer/sci-fi role-play. -- Here's what happened:
In the year of 2053, a company by the name 'Anthem' managed to figure out how to make the world smarter and more advanced, kind of bionic sounding right? Anyway, they have several subjects, around 10 subjects, who are first tested. They must be put into cryogenic sleep so they can be injected with a special chip that makes them more advanced and smarter than the humans. A year later, despite their chips not being injected, one of their 'test subjects' got out, aka a mutated human. The mutated human then spread a virus like the zombie apocalypse that kills them when they bite someone else. The virus spread like wildfire, and then the last known mutated human dies due to hunger and starvation. Now that all humans are gone, except for the ones sealed up in New Stratford. Every building, every condition deteriorates. The nice, tall glass buildings in Dubai are now bare metal skeletons of what they used to be. The tall tip of the Empire State Building was there, now it broke off. There are many things that happened. Anthem is also shutdown after releasing the virus, and deemed the 'violators' by New Stratford.
In the year of 2099, however, the lab is still deteriorating. It hasn't been broken down or anything yet. Weeds are growing where the shiny, clean tiles used to be. They're growing everywhere, the walls, the glass, and even over the cryogenic pod. Then, one day, the roof collapses after too much pressure, accidentally hitting the switch to let the cryogenic pod open. The cryogenic pod machine then malfunctions, letting it open. The people in the cryogenic have no memory of who they are, however, they do remember the other test subjects around them, and only them. They know basic human knowledge, but they know more. They aren't advanced, but they know more. They know what a dog is and what a cat is, everything. However, every disaster has strengthened more, the Earth has taken over the buildings. The buildings can collapse at any moment, disasters like hurricanes, earthquakes and tsunamis are much more common now, it's impossible to get to New Stratford unless you come prepared.
That's why there is a lab. You grab all the equipment you need and go off, in the city of [Baltimore, New York or Boston, still deciding on that] and you have to get to New Stratford, located in the Rockies, near what used to be the Canadian border. Most vehicles don't work, but you might find a few couple of vehicles or airplanes or whatever that might work.
Your purpose is to get to New Stratford, and live off the haven life, making sure you have a nice and comfortable home, and you must battle many things along the way. Some animals are mutated in a harmless way, like an extra eye or two noses or whatever, but some are dangerously mutated, like shapeshifting, sharp teeth and more. There are also normal animals that haven't been affected yet.
What used to be the satellite reflected off into the Earth too much, helping cause several nuclear reactors around the world to explode, melting the walls because the sun is much more powerful now due to solar flares, this being one of the reason that radiation is exposed to MOST animals.
Now, you have to battle many things; mutated animals, disasters, other people maybe, and even yourself. That is why you must get to New Stratford.
The New Stratford population won't be much, maybe around 1,000-2,000 remaining people in the world after the crazy virus spread. Now, everyone has one specific goal; Get to New Stratford. Don't trust no one, don't trust anybody. -- That is my idea.
What do you think? |

| Anyone else have any criticism besides 'your outfit is terrible' which I know it is and 'this is too clumped up and isn't an interest check' |

It seems pretty interesting, though I'm not sure how many people would like to join it if an RP is made out of it.

You've uh. Got some stupid science there. First, satellites don't typically reflect sunlight onto the Earth. On the occasions that they do, it's only for a very brief period of time. The brevity of this means that, no matter how "powerful" you say the Sun is, it won't be enough to cause nuclear reactors to explode.
And solar flares don't make the Sun more powerful. That doesn't even make any sense. Solar flares aren't some kind of phenomenon that adds on to the Sun's power every time they occur. They're just releases of energy that happen on the Sun's surface every once in awhile.
While solar flares are technically a radiation hazard, they're not really a problem for Earth because we have an atmosphere that assists in protecting us. The only time a solar flare would be harmful to you would be if you're on something that isn't Earth.
But who really cares about scientific accuracy? Besides all those issues with your science, I think this RP could be interesting. It's a zombie RP at its core, from what I can tell, but the addition of frequent and intense disasters may be enough to keep it interesting.
The issue is that I don't see this working as an RP. I don't think that anything involving survival can work very well as an RP. If this were an ISRP, I'm sure it'd be just fine and I'd join it. But I'm not sure if that's the case here. |

| Thank you, for some real criticism, besides Pikachus, which was also real. I was thinking this could be an ISRP also for a second, but an ISRP after all would be better. I know about the science thing, I was thinking dumb for a moment there. |

| I'll second Z0rr0w. As an ISRP, I would probably join it. Assuming I can finish my CS for Mobile Suit: ARCH before you post it. |
