So lately I've been running into problems with raycasting, an example would be me raycasting from Vector3.new() to Vector3.new(0, 5, 0) and getting the hit point '0, 2, 0.991' returned. Since the Origin and Direction both have the X and Z coordinates set to 0, it is safe to assume that the hit point would have X and Z be 0, and the Y coordinate would range from 0 to 5. But that is not the case unfortunately.
I ran this in the command input
local _,A = workspace:FindPartOnRay(Ray.new(Vector3.new(60, 5, -120), Vector3.new(60, 10, -120))) print(A)
and got the output '67, 6.16666651, -134'
I think this sums up the problem I'm encountering :v |
