i remember playing pc games as a kid and when i put the cd in the game would run and the computer fan would make noises. the old ones are like that, aren't they.
quite nostalgic, those old computer games... the computer fan going. |

They are rated for 12 volts, and are plugged into a 12 volt socket but can run faster if given more. I learned that today.

That sounds like my macbook pro( with Windows )..
When I did some gaming on it, the fan got loud. I did not bother checking the GPU/CPU temperature though.

I'm trying it on mine right now, hard to get consistent power with my adapter though. Keep rubbing the contacts on it and hope it's just right.

The fan? You can get these out of old Dell GX 260's on the heatsink.
Model of one of my 3 is "BG0903-B044-VTL"
Others might be faster, yet to check them.
