Maybe it is just me but as a voter I put more emphasis on his/her personality. When I vote I'm voting for the person, not the party, as usually good policies will be the byproduct of a good personality, not the other way around.
This election cycle none of the candidates that I have seen have shown to me the leadership qualities that I want in a President, likewise the ones that do sparingly (Trump, Sanders) have views that are completely unrealistic for a President to do by himself and have failed to grasp what the role of president is.
the GOP, who have been focusing so much on attacking Obama-someone who won't be there when they are president and are thus irrelevant-that they have steered away from presenting any of the ideas that they might have as president and how they plan on executing those ideas.
On the Democratic side Hillary Clinton has shown zero accountability for any of her actions and is one of the most out of touch candidate I have seen in years. Bernie Sanders, while doing an excellent job of pinpointing problems our nation is facing, has ideas that are unrealistic and unachievable.
Maybe my biggest concern with this election cycle is that the frontrunners for the parties are trying to appeal to the far left or far right of their party that the bad ideas both parties contain aren't being kept in check. The left and right are supposed to compliment each other instead of opposing each other.
This election lacks a candidate who contains the qualities needed to lead the US while also being a moderate, which is who I would vote for. |

| For me the biggest issue is Campaign finance. 90% of the politicians are literally in the back pocket of their donors and thats why I support Bernie or Trump (preferably Bernie) I also thought Rand Paul was a solid candidate until he dropped out. |

never understood why people say that they dont like Sanders because his goals are "unachievable". Just as one example, 83% of Americans support universal healthcare, which is one of his main points. even if he doesn't achieve all of his goals completely, progress is good

The Bernie argument is invalid if people went to every election that's relevant to us. Not just the presidential election. I'm talking about the House Reps elections and the Senate elections. Bernie's goals are achievable if there's a Congress that can work with a President Sanders.
Bernie Sanders and John Kasich are the most experienced politicians and they are the most qualified and are the most progressive candidates for either party's standards. Donald Trump also has an authenticity value that's a No BS attitude. People like Jeb Bush are fake and are completely super-PAC run and they need their 90 y/o mother in a walker to attack Donald Trump for him |

"Or maybe because Bernie isn't a good candidate"
He's a very good candidate. He's authentic and has spoken the truth for 35+ years in politics. He has rarely ever changed his stances on issues (you can look up a video where he debates Wall Street greed with John Kasich in 1995 when they were both in the House of Representatives) unlike Hillary "Criminal" Clinton. |

Again, not necessarily, but it won't be because of HRC's work alone, it will be if she appoints a good cabinet and team of advisors
Remember that Ronald Reagan began the US deficit and it only took Bill Clinton to bring us back to a balanced budget |

"bill clinton balanced the budget after heavy pressure from a republican controlled congress" The Gingrich gang had little to do with his executive efforts, while I must admit Congress wasn't in as much gridlock then as it is today
"bill clinton also destroyed glass-steagel which lead to bank deregulation which lead to the destruction of the economy. the clintons are just republicans with a smile" I am aware the Clintons are against Glass-Steagall and support the corporate greed of Wall Street's recklessness but Bill certainly did a better job than Ronald Reagan did with the economy. |

reagan's beef is with the labour and social movements, he worked wonders for the economy. clinton took deregulation into areas where deregulation should not exist

Hillary Clinton is the most qualified for the job out of all the candidates. Although, I wouldn't vote for her in a million years.
And Ben Carson isn't really dumb, he's just inexperienced. |

| No matter what her policies are Hillary would never have my vote. The way she lies and deceives uninformed voters while also being bought out by wall street is despicable. She constantly pulls the gender card and has tried to use 9/11 to justify her wall street donations. She is the definition of establishment politics. |

I don't get why people think cheaper or even free healthcare/education is bad or impossible. Look at Canada or Finland.
