| if the president informed people of his absence, the office should go directly to the VP without need for a Congressional vote |

Nay. David would be a wonderful President, but I fear that a coup d'etat is possible if enough signatures are gained. The legislation allows for the President never to return to his title if Congress does not allow for it, which is obviously a breach of checks and balances, but also allows for many convoluted attempts at taking over the presidency.
I apologise to David, because he really would be an excellent President, but this process is not being undertaken with true intent by Congress. |

@Bakerley
" THEREFORE; I, the Vice President of the United States, shall become Acting President until President SuddenRush12G informs Congress of his return."
It clearly says that Sudden would go back to being POTUS as soon as he informs Congress of his return. |

@Z007, that is subject to this legislation: http://forum.roblox.com/Forum/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=183160262
"Section 3. In the event of the President issuing a note to Congress that he is ready to come back, and still fails his vote by Congress, the President must wait 7 days before issuing another note of him being able to assume office again. This applies each time that the President fails the vote by Congress.
Section 4. During this time that the President is declared unable to do his duties as President, he is still liable to be impeached by Congress."
Is it really coincidence that both the legislation and this proposal are going through at the same time? I don't think so. |

section 3 needs to be removed, that's ridiculous
if Congress has an issue with the President, they can simply impeach him. Otherwise, the President should be automatically allowed to return to office. |
