before family guy was cancelled it was at its prime
afterward it was still funny
but in the recent seasons its pretty much just been all about the story and trying to be serious rather than being funny
sure the older episodes had storylines but they had a lot more jokes
even the characters have changed like
why would i want to watch an entire episode about meg "speaking out" and yelling at the entire family about being "bullied"
why would i want to hear brian do nothing but ramble on about his political views
why would i want to listen to peter be more stupid than funny (pretty much what they did with spongebob)
cleveland is way too energetic, which is the opposite of what his character was known for stewie isn't funny or evil anymore, just does nothing but science (similar to sandy in spongebob)
overall it's like the show is more focused on teaching the characters life lessons than it is entertaining the audience
the humor is extremely dry now and out of an entire season i can laugh at it maybe a few times
anyway that's my rant about how stupid family guy is now i know people will be like "xDDDD i never liked it so im COOL!!! XD" so :D

| Meg and Chris were always bad characters. I think Stewie and Cleveland were the only ones they ruined. |

| i was just saying his character was ruined, not which show that did it. I think if they kept his character the same and made Dawna more interesting the show would've been a lot better than what it was. Cleve's friends were pretty horribly written to. Roberta and Junior were cool though. |

yeah lobster and its like they had to force an episode where she struck back as if the show wasnt a comedy, and they also forced jokes in to make it feel like it still was a comedy
and they did do an episode earlier in the series where peter showed he didnt hate meg but
the entire episode didnt have a serious tone it was mostly comedic and back then it was just a "lesson learned" thing they did sometimes at the end of the episode

i can't really watch family guy anymore without getting the urge to turn it off. i used to watch it to be accepted by peers / when i had nothing better to do. also, i've tried watching older episodes of family guy. they don't really hold a candle to the simpsons lool
also, seth mcfarlane is a horrible voice actor who only works to dogmatically spew hatred |

| i watched it when i needed something mindless as most of the shows I watch are dramas that require some form of mental activity to follow along with. Sometimes I didn't feel like thinking and Family Guy was the perfect show for that. Now I just do reruns of Orange is the New Black as I've seen them all enough times so that I don't need to think to keep up with the storyline. |

btw i forgot to add something to this thread
there is a voice they do every episode which is basically a generic white guy doing generic things and they use this satire every episode and im tired of hearing that same voice
