Due to some people not knowing some rules that people don't ordinarily think about;
{( RULES OF INTEREST })
- When you're the chains referee, YOU PLACE THE BALL WHEN THE BALL HITS THE GROUND AFTER THE TACKLE, barring any weird fling up. There is no argument on bounce yards. When the ball hits the ground the ball is spotted there.
- An accepted penalty will stop the clock, unless under 2 minutes in the 4th quarter when committed by the losing team. If time is in and a team goes offsides and the penalty is declined, then the clock will run on blown. Accepting a penalty is accepting the clock stoppage, unless under 2 minutes in the 4th quarter, where if the time is in and someone goes offsides the clock will have a 10 second rundown (if a FS is committed the defense can't decline it, but they can decline the 10 second rundown)
- If there is 40 seconds left in the game and time is in and the defense goes offsides (to take the 10 second rundown) the game is over, unless the defense has timeouts or the offense doesn't want the game to end.
- If a player runs out of bounds voluntarily then runs back in and makes the tackle it is an illegal hideout 10 yard penalty.
- A receiver is ineligible if he runs his route oob, not if he TOUCHES oob.
- Illegal clock rundown is in effect in the 2nd half under 2 minutes for the winning team or any team down by 1 possession (8 points) -- HOWEVER, IN THE OPINION OF THE REFEREE, IF THE PLAYER IS NOT WASTING TIME, DO NOT STOP THE CLOCK, THIS IS JUDGEMENT AND IF YOU HAVE TO CONSIDER IT JUST STOP THE CLOCK.
- Both sides can TP and sub after blown. The offense must wait 5 PC seconds after the offensive sub to hike it in order to give the defense time to adjust.
- Lag interceptions/swats is a rule, and if it occurs the play is redone and the clock is reset like a lag sack.

{( PHILOSPHIES })
Referee: - Lineup outside the right hash and get a clear view of the snap to make sure it's legal. Don't be in the hashes as you don't want to pick up a loose snap - Stay 10-15 yards away from QB and observe DE's/look for lag from anyone in the backfield to make sure it's a legal play - If the clock time must be changed say :s game.Workspace.Clock.Value = (TIME IN SECONDS) so the time for 2:00 would be 120. No more holding the clock. - On a field goal/punt play (4th down) wait a little longer to blow it to see if they call it. DO NOT ASK THEM. You don't want to remind them/give tips. They can't call it after blown, you can remind them of that and tell them they have to take the delay or timeout to kick/punt it. - Stop clock when the ball hits invisible wall on incomplete throws and when the FG censor goes off for field goals.
==
Umpire: - When Umpiring, you should enter ballcam as the ball is passed. - IF THERE IS ANY QUESTION TO WHETHER THE BALL IS INCOMPLETE OR COMPLETE AS YOU'RE MAKING THE CALL, CALL IT COMPLETE! Calling a pass complete is easier to overturn then incomplete. If you overturn an incomplete pass the runner is down where he caught it. If you overturn a complete pass you just reset the clock. Much less significant. This is only for close calls you can't tell, if you have to have a guess, CALL IT COMPLETE!
==
Linesman: - Make sure you're looking up and down the line consistently, especially if you're the only linesman. Don't look in one area. - If you're shaky on a CALL DON'T CALL IT - If you saw something and for some reason didn't call it DO NOT CALL IT AFTER THE PLAY - Kill any play necessary. You can't be a linesman if you are afraid to kill a play
==
Chains: - Try not to use ballcam for spots as it can give you a weird perspective and a bad spot, but sometimes when its to far away, you have to - When the player goes down remember the spot number in your head then spot the chains - Move chains swiftly and fast. DO NOT TWITCH THE CHAINS, THAT MAKES YOU LOOK UNSURE AND PEOPLE WILL START TO ARGUE, BE CONFIDENT IN YOUR SPOT. - Never move chains before a player is tackled - 1. people can still dive behind LOS, 2. You aren't looking at the runner
