TL;DR - "The admins are no longer taking the time and effort to show that we, the community are still appreciated."
We, the community are taking the time out of our day to log on to the ROBLOX site to play, build and script games and to forum. Admittedly this isn't much of a chore but I'm sure we all have at least one other site we could visit instead.
Many of us purchase a 'Builder's Club' subscriptions with real money, so we are the foundations of the ROBLOX Corporation. Without us, ROBLOX would cease to function as a company. For this reason, I think it's only fair that they at least show some appreciation.
Sure, they provide with free development software like 'ROBLOX Studio' but at the end of the day, this is just to get people to play good quality games which will generate even more revenue through the use of in-game purchases.
Getting to the point (finally), the reason I don't like 'devents' is because it's passing the responsibility onto developers of the most popular games. The admins are no longer taking the time and effort to show that we, the community are still appreciated. I miss Egg Hunt 2014 because it was a completely new 'game universe' with many exciting traps, secret places and puzzles that provided you with an egg upon completion. It really felt like the admins had enjoyed creating it.
Please bring this back.
Thanks for reading,

| i like the concept of developer made events but i dislike how most of the developers dont change anything and just slap some hats in it -- it needs a change. also, roblox needs to start picking up different games. i dont like playing highschool in every dev event. |

| ROBLOX does show their appreciation for us purchasing membership. They give us new items, features, live streams and more. If that's not showing your appreciation then I don't know what is. |

New items - paid for with Robux Features - most are BC only Live Streams - This is mainly to attract more users More - Define 'more'

but all the developers really do is slap the prize in the game and have you find it in the game |

@uglysteak: Not all items are paid for with R$, we get nice 1 tix items all the time. Most features are BC only now? Really? Well I guess you'll be needing BC to have dynamic lighting, solid modeling, smooth terrain, new water properties, game icons, animation editor 3.0, new humanoid properties, new shadows, and plenty of other awesome updates they've been giving us. Live streams aren't really to attract more users. They're a chance for ROBLOX to interact with the community in a unique way. They do giveaways and answer questions that we have. Define more? Okay, well they've given us ROBLOX for Xbox One, Hack Week, yearly Giftsplosions, monthly events, the ROBLOX t-shirts contest, the merch store, the Bloxy Awards, game spotlights on the ROBLOX Blog, game reviews to help lesser known games become more popular, and they're already working on bringing ROBLOX to VR.
@TheTrueLuigiFan: You just contradicted yourself. |

No I did not. "ROBLOX does show their appreciation for us purchasing membership. They give us new items, features, live streams and more. If that's not showing your appreciation then I don't know what is." and give us more childish and embarrassing sponsors |

These features are included within ROBLOX Studio and as I've said before, this is just to encourage the development of higher quality games and ultimately to persuade people to purchase Robux.
Although livestreams and giveaways are a good idea, they aren't accessible to everyone.
ROBLOX for XBOX just attracts more users who prefer console gaming, it doesn't really benefit the existing users.
Giftsplosions require that you meet very specific conditions including playing several of the most popular games. I don't think that's fair to slightly less well known developers.
As for the Bloxy Awards, it was my understanding that the voting system was based on video 'likes'. This is great for people who have a massive fan base but not so great for new Youtubers but this is an entirely separate debate.

Oh yeah shoot I forgot, everything ROBLOX does is for money! They don't care about us! Illuminati confirmed the world is ending! Conspiracy! /s
"Although livestreams and giveaways are a good idea, they aren't accessible to everyone."
They're accessible to all ROBLOX players. If you have internet access, you have access to Twitch.
"ROBLOX for XBOX just attracts more users who prefer console gaming, it doesn't really benefit the existing users."
Oh yeah shoot sorry I forgot once again! Let's just ignore the fact that users have been asking for ROBLOX to come on consoles for years! They only want money! It had nothing to do with the community wanted!
"Giftsplosions require that you meet very specific conditions including playing several of the most popular games. I don't think that's fair to slightly less well known developers."
The only Giftsplosion that has been heavily developer focused was 2014. Last year's Giftsplosion was great. I got most of the gifts without spending a dime and I'm not a popular developer. They are basically letting us have fun at completing a challenge and receiving a cool hat for accomplishing the goal.
"As for the Bloxy Awards, it was my understanding that the voting system was based on video 'likes'. This is great for people who have a massive fan base but not so great for new Youtubers but this is an entirely separate debate."
You missed the point, again. They are showing their appreciation by holding CONTESTS for players to challenge themselves and it gives video makers a spotlight. |

@Jy
You're missing one important point on the BLOXYs, they let the community decide! That's a major flaw for many reasons! Those who make actual quality and don't get any recognition, do you call that fair? Do you? |
