I dont know how to find distributive property and combine like terms for this
-(-n+2)-2n
and
-3(5+2x)-7
How do I write the experssion for the perimeter of a rectangle with a length that's 5 inches longer than its width?

-3(5+2x)-7
Can be simplified to
-22-6x
-(-n+2)-2n
Can be simplified to
-n-2
For the last one- I have no idea...
Pretty sure my answers are wrong, I'm a sixth grader so don't rely on them. But I recommend an online algebra calculator, such as the one on mathpapa.com.

No, you don't need to find the variables unless you need to solve it. I'm guessing you need to simplify it instead

If you weren't such a bigheaded idiot maybe you'd see my post near the top. Also, you're the "stoopid" one here for believing that OT would give you legit answers. Go die.

Well, first, you look in the book to see if it has instructions. Next, if it doesn't, look online for instructions on that kind of problem.
Then boom, your problems are solved. |

"How do I write the experssion for the perimeter of a rectangle with a length that's 5 inches longer than its width?"
A basic mathematical formula should suffice, as shown below:
The perimeter of a rectangle equals (2 * (l * w)).
Therefore, the quotient of p and 2 equals (l * w).
The quotient of (l * w)/l = w, or width.
Adding five to this numerical quantity will give you a value that is five inches greater than the original width quantity.
w = (w + 5)
Altogether, this is equivalent to:
l = ((p/2)/l + 5)
This explanation should assist you greatly.
(Alternatively, p = w * (w + 5) may help you, depending on your question.)
Explanations validate answers. |
