It's not a driving sim though, it's a trucking sim.

@rose Same, it's my most anticipated game of the year, sad that it'll only have the 3 states at the start though. I'll be so happy when they add Canada and I can have my garage in my hometown, it'll be so cool.

They said that they plan to expand up to the 60th eventually with DLC. (In case you're unaware the border is the 49th) And if they don't there will be a mod for it.

I'm kinda excited for the game because the roads of america have very beautiful roads, like the highways hat loop around the mountains.
I'm just sceptical because A) America has the worst speeding limits and B) If they only include main highways like Euro truck then rip that game.

@cat
There was a beautiful stretch of road, curvy that stretched across a pretty mountain.
20mph limit. |

Will the US one have both/either of the states of Oregon or Washington? |

"Will the US one have both/either of the states of Oregon or Washington?"
considering the state the game will come with is California, I'd say those are a possibility
also now it's 2 days away |

I bought euro truck sim 2 last night (surprisingly cheap, only £14 for a sim? I payed about £30 for MS:FSX a few years ago and XPLANE is like £60)
all i can say is
It's
so
goood
i didn't think i'd like trucks.. but the game is just great. |

Don't you just drive around slowly in those games? Sounds kinda...Boring.
At least in racing games you go fast. Unless there is some sort of depth I'm missing here. |

@Stealth It's hard to explain really
It's tense as the trucks aren't TOO easy to drive (especally if you don't have a wheel like me) You have to get there fast as possible, while maintaing fuel and sleep You pick jobs with differnt money bonuses buy new trucks and discover new cities, all with a different feel and atmosphere.
As a british citizen i can say the british roads in Euro trucks sim 2 are very realistic in terms of graphical quality.... and traffic
a moment of silence for all the family cars and schoolbuses i've *accidentally* smashed off the road |
