how does it start an argument? the only reason i could see for not using it is that you want to support sites you enjoy or you just find it straight out morally wrong to take ad revenue

| i think using adblock is morally wrong for more than just that reason and its not gonna help anyway its just gonna make companies more aggressive with their advertising |

fair reasoning though i doubt it is going to provoke companies that much the vast majority of internet users dont use adblock like mothers viewing pintrest of kids or something its usually just tech involved teenagers or adults at this point

not quite youre comparing different things ad companies dont actually LOSE money they just dont gain any whereas shoplifting takes money away from stores
and a fair number of people use adblock for security reasons

this is happening right now. also OP i respect your opinion and I have no disagreements to it whatsoever. i use adblock but that doesn't mean you should too. |

you misunderstood what i said about the small minority though i wasnt using that to justify it i was using it to state that it wouldnt make adds implemented in more aggressive ways

actually arguments dont have to be aggressive thats just a connotation of it, argument literally just means an expression of disagreement and like the example i used is still relevant then because like if people shoplift then the companys gonna have to make up for it in profit somehow right? such as more security and stuff? |
