Most of the time, school acts as a job simulator, training you to do something for 6-8 hours straight.
They need filler for 10-12 years (depending on where you live) |

I put useless in quotes because nothing you learn in school is truly useless. |

some things we have to do in math class are seriously the most useless thing you would ever learn.
my sister even needed help with her homework once because she had to do a simple multiplication problem, but then she had to shade in squares to represent the answer to the problem.
that is literally the most stupid and useless thing ive ever seen in math. if anything, all we really need to be taught is addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and then maybe fractions (but thats technically division) and decimals and the number line. |

| If school is supposed to act as a job simulator, why is it that the heaviest load for students is the last two years of high school when that's when students actually have real jobs? |

every time I do something useful it's outside of school
getting into a mindset of needing to prioritize school has been weighing me down these last few years

Because the school system is absolutely not designed to educate students for a large variety of career paths.

School is boring, but good
You need your Education to even Make it into
Collage. Working anywhere really. Money. House Food Drinks
You get the point. I'm trying to go learn Development and Scripting.
Education is Boring but it really does help you in Life.

@aard
it makes sense that it's designed to make it so people need to take a variety of different classes because most high school students have no idea what they'll do with their life but they should let people take different paths if they already have a career in mind
honestly it disappointed me that when I had already planned what I want to major in I can't take as many credits of courses useful to me because in order to graduate I need to take all of the bland generic classes that have little benefit
@slydexia
i completely agree it's exhausting and by the time I do get a chance to do something that I would find useful I'm too exhausted to have any motivation to do it |

@brendon it's like i'm interested in game design. yet i have no options of it available to me, nor any time to learn it by myself. that's something along the lines of crushing my dreams. |

Even if you think you don't learn many useful things in school.
It gets you used to doing something for a few hours at a time.
