Hey guys, im aiming to build a game in which 4 teams of 5-6 players compete to build their rocket the fastest. The teams will collect resources from a center area and bring them back to their base to add to an overall team points. The amount of points determines the level of gear that the team can use and what buildings are availible in the base. Other teams can kill players in order to gain cash and prevent other teams from getting resources. They can also steal resources from other teams bases and bring it back to their own.

I need your thoughts on this game design as well as:
-building ideas
-should the center resources be infinitely regenerating?
-etc..

I think killing players should not give cash to the killer. It's good enough that the players get less resources, especially if the resources are a long walk from spawn. Awarding cash can make it so that players that hunt down noobs will become super strong. Just a thought.

Also if you can implement matchmaking and elo and make it more of a competitive tycoon, that would be cool. We need some unique tycoons.

Resources and cash would work like this with my original design
Resources are for base advancement only, cash is for buying upgrades

You get 50$ for killing a player and 100$+(25*x) for delivering resources(x being the amount of resources you bring)

Should a killed player drop their resources on death?

How should resources be handled, i have several ways i thought about it:
-lumber tycoon style(actual blocks)
-leaderboard stat
-data value stored in player gui
