Um, I switched usernames and kinda lost the other ones and... I still have the first ones on google docs, so gg lol...
People were complaining about them, so I'll make some changes in these. Please note that I didnt watch every game because ya know, life is a thing, so I cant sit here and analyze every team's exact performance. The scoreboard and statsheets are all I have to go off of for a lot of teams. Don't complain about "These are based off wins!"
1. Dansville Ducks (#2) I did happen to watch most of the Dansville game, and aside from a few mental errors and defensive lapses, they played pretty solid against an underrated Saxon team. They take the #1 spot as the Rams fall.
2. Corinth Spartans (#6) I don't think anyone outside of the Spartans expected to see them win against the mighty Rams. This is a huge confidence boost to any other team, because it shows nobody is invincible in 8v8. Corinth is surging and didn't even have a turnover on offense week 1 against a great Rams defense.
3. Millikan Rams (#1) They lost to a very good team, and they didn't seem like they were prepared to face this team. I think this will be a wake up call for this team and they'll rebound quickly.
4. Korblox Snowhawks (#8) Korblox winning against the Huskies is impressive, but it also makes me think the Huskies are well overrated. As mallard said, they were a 5-3 team last season in the regular season and got hot at the right time. Still a solid victory, and Korblox looks to live up to the hype they've been getting.
5. Florida Firecats (#5) They won, didn't play all that well offensively, but their defense was a monster. I credit a lot of it to the bad center they were facing, but still nice work. I don't think a 2 possession win over the Rattlers, with that much disruption on defense makes them rise this week though.
6. Pemberley Punishers (#7) Not a big gain, but with 4 INTs and a 2 possession win, the defense looks dangerous. Offense still has questions to be answered such as the run game (RBs) and deep passing threat. On defense the main problem was deep passes getting by for TDs (Flashback to the 90 yard Cali Newton TD pass).
7. Redcliff Raiders (#10) Redcliff scraped by against Canton, but in honesty, the game could have gone either way. Still, competing with Canton is more than a lot of people, including myself predicted of this team. A good performance overall.
8. Highland Huskies (#3) They posted a total a total of 17 yards of rushing, and threw 2 INTs on just 3 TDs. I had a hunch they may be overrated, and right now that's what it looks like. Big drop from a team that was supposed to be dominant.
9. Barton Bruisers (#14) And the biggest gain of the week goes to the very underrated Bruisers. Keep in mind they did not face Mack, but still, they passed for 5 TDs and 0 INTs against a good Warriors defense. I underrated this team and they're on the rise. Top 5 alert in week 2 or 3? Maybe.
10. Canton Greats (#9) Canton could have easily won if one more play went their way, and I heard it was a great game. The only reason I rank them down is because they were favored to beat the Raiders. I do think they'll rebound though.
11. Saxon Sunbirds (#13) They competed with the #1 ranked team and given 2 or 3 plays, could have won the game. They are highly underrated. My only question is do they have depth for when b3nny or dc cannot be there?
12. Rockford Raptors (#11) For all the trash they talked about having the best DE core in the OFL, and being a top 5 team, a very small win over Joston along with allowing the QB to run for 2 TDs makes me concerned about their defense. Offensively, ikios looked pretty good from the small part of the game I watched. 0 INTs.
13. ROBLOX Warriors (#4) Biggest drop of the week goes to the Warriors. I hate to do this, because I know they were missing MrMack, but at the moment, I'm not sure if he's going to be playing for them this season, and they also lost yodog and vrill. Looks like the team is falling apart. We'll see next week I guess.
14. Joston Jackrabbits (#12) 1 passing TD just won't get it done against teams like Highland and Korblox. Big questions to be answered on this team, but nothing out of the ordinary for Joston.
15. ROBLOX Panthers (#15) Cali looked better than what I think everyone expected. Still, 4 INTs killed them and that will be a loss 90% of the time, no matter who you're facing. Still, the team could sneak into the playoffs with an upset here and there.
16. Rektshire Rattlers (#16) Well... You can say you didn't drop any ranks. Lebron looked ok on his running ability and escaping pressure, but 2 TDs to 3 INTs won't get it done. None of them played great, but nobody played worse than the Center who gave up 8 sacks. You'll never be efficient on offense with that many sacks in a game.
Don't rage at these ok? They're power rankings and don't even matter. I'm not gonna argue with anyone this time. Please give constructive criticism and disagree where you wish, but do read the explanation before spouting off about something. I tried to explain my thinking on every pick as much as possible. Thanks. |
