You need to make sure that people view about half of the video for it to count as a view. You need to somehow make people click cancerous ads. You need to have good bargaining / business skills. You need to make sure not to copyright infringement. You need to not become PewDiePie.
There's more to it but it just isn't on top of my head. |

Think about the time included in making a YouTube video.
If this is something you make into a career (which is totally possible), you will easily have yourself a typical 40 work week keeping it up and going.
Notice how if a YouTube Star goes quiet for a week, everyone is wondering where they've disappeared to. |

| And if you do all this you could end up with a lovely 3 subscriber account with about 5 views per video, unless somebody you know finds out, and then you'll have 100s |

| Ok, let me get something clear. Being a YouTuber is much more than that. 1. You actually want to create GOOD content and not just make people keep watching. 2. To make money you do not need to make people click on ads, you just need to have them play, and besides, you need to have enough views in order to make any real money. 3. You need to constantly come out with new quality content or else people will get bored. 4. You do need social skills, it is much more than sitting in front of a camera and playing games. 5. A lot of good channels are not just playing video games, in fact, some of the best videos are comedy sketches where they basically create a short film. 6. To not infringe copyright, well that is easy, make your own music. 7. PewDiePie is not a horrible YouTuber, he loves what he does, and he does it well. He interacts with his fans far more than other YouTubers, he plays new and top notch games, and he has an army of supporters. Plus there is the fact that he makes some solid money off of doing what he does. So would you not want to be PewDiePie, he basically lives the life! |

you also have to try to ignore commenters that demand that you make videos and think you don't have an actual life. also he said "You need to not become PewDiePie" because he doesn't make GOOD content, he was funny at first (sorta) but then all his videos are just the same screaming random stuff.
