Using all your knowledge, do you think there could ever be a programming language powerful and reliable enough to run the whole universe?
What about a computer that can handle it?
Do we live in the matrix (xd)?

Title correction: Do you think the universe could possible be a computer simulation.

I mean in a sense, yeah.
If you think about it, it kind of is.
Reality as everyone knows it is a series of energy and mathematics working together to create our environment, just like a computer uses energy and 1's and 0's. Our current life could be a much more complex coding language. An example would be DNA, it's practically a coding language like Binary, instead it uses ATCG configurations.
So to answer question 1:
I don't think we could ever make a computer run a simulation of our Universe. Maybe in the far future, a more downgraded universe. Think of it as running a Virtual Machine on your computer. You could never put in the full amount of technical specs, because there would be none left to run the original.
A computer that can handle it is unlikely, but this is all just my opinion.
Do we live in the matrix? Probably. God/Maker/Creator whatever you call that higher being if you believe in one, could just be the Developer. And we the creation. Idk. |

@gensoki
science is currently saying nothing "before the start" has no meaning either way - it can't be explained by a deity (god, religion) and it currently doesn't have much meaning from science.
the simple fact is that we're not going to find a solution to "what happened before the start?". |

anyone that believes this is an idiot
explanation:
the universe is everything, created by the unknown and possibly forever unknown
computers and programming languages are reflected off of the universe
there would be no point in creating a 'fake universe' as there already is one |

Pshhh... Well I do not wish to start a fight but I believe in God.
BUT
If you can answer this question, this can change everything!! O:
Where did we come from? Do not back up your information with theories such as the big bang because that does not have any physical or reliable evidence that can support such silliness. |

@punky
i don't want to argue about this, because I think we'll both walk away thinking we've won
but I counter your argument with "where did god come from?"
if god has no beginning, why can't the universe? |

But what about the universe of ever expandation? It is continuously expanding from one point of time and place in the universe itself.
And one thing i'm ashamed of saying.. I can not answer your question. I have not read the Old testament yet as i'm just reading the 2nd testament for my 2nd time (lol) but all answers are in the bible if you look for it or if you know where to look. o.- |

" It is continuously expanding from one point of time and place in the universe itself."
no every single possible point in the universe is gaining more "empty space" between it and the next
not what you're thinking |

the bible is fake along with every other religion and this stupid question
science is only true up to human perception
we will probably all die from a nuclear war before we find out what caused the universe to exist |
