Hello and welcome to Dockland's Department of Public Safety! Our job is to keep all Citizens of Docklands safe, happy, and healthy. DDPS consists of two major divisions including the Fire Department (FD) and the Emergency Medical Services (EMS). To ensure the protection of all of Dockland's Citizens, this handbook will provide all the required information to function as an effective DDPS member. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
I. Acceptance II. DDPS Rules III. Trainings IV. Activity Checks V. Chatroom Rules VI. Ranks VII. Elections VIII. Suspensions
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
I. ACCEPTANCE
In order to join DDPS, you must attend and pass a tryout hosted by a DDPS Supervisor or above. Tryouts will involve teaching the basics of EMS and FD, and the host will determine who passes by seeing who understands the basics well. Anyone who attends a tryout must have an account age of 50 days or more. This is to prevent the possibility of exploiters or hackers becoming a part of DDPS, and to ensure that our members may be capable of doing their job effectively. The group member capacity has been selected as 75 at maximum to ensure that all members remain active and continue their efforts to help as much as they can in DDPS. Once DDPS has reached 75 members, no more tryouts will be hosted until we fall back down to 70 members or less. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
II. DDPS RULES
-EMS is not allowed to patrol while in the city; however, EMS may station at places around the map. Before stationing, make sure to notify everyone where you are going to station on the radio so they know that you are not patrolling.
-Uniform or body colors must be worn at ALL TIMES when on duty at the city. To wear the correct body colors, you must first remove any tshirts, shirts, or pants. Then you must select a light blue color for your torso and arms, then a black or grey color for your legs. We expect you to purchase the uniform as soon as you can, but it is not a requirement to be on the EMS team at the city. (Uniforms: http://forum.roblox.com/Forum/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=181673021)
-Packages are not allowed while at DDPS trainings, tryouts, or while on the EMS team at the city.
-EMS may not allow anyone to ride along in their ambulance unless the player is injured. Any injured players must ride in the back of the ambulance, not in the front passenger seat. The only players allowed to sit in the passenger seat of the ambulance would be another EMS member who may be your partner.
-EMS may only have one ambulance for every two EMS on the server. Every EMS is required to partner up with another EMS unless it is found a necessity to separate, possibly if multiple people are injured across the map and need assistance quickly.
-Any suspended DDPS members who are found on the DDPS team will be exiled immediately. Proof must be provided to the suspended DDPS member before exiling them.
*NOTE: FD has not yet been added to the city. New rules will be updates here once FD is added*
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
III. TRAININGS
After successfully passing a DDPS tryout, you will only be ranked to Trainee. In order to become EMS or FD and have access to DDPS vehicles at the city, you must attend a DDPS training and pass. The host of any training may promote up to 3 trainees for every 5 trainees in attendance, but the host is not required to promote any. Instructors+ are expected to host a training at least once per week, and must send a training log to the Director of DDPS after they have completed their training. Please remember to fill the training log out as you go so that you cannot forget anything or anyone who attended. (TRAINING LOG: http://forum.roblox.com/Forum/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=181608726). For a training to be hosted, at least 5 DDPS EMS or below must be in attendance. If less than 5 attend, then the training must be cancelled. All tryouts must have at least 5 people for the tryout to continue. INSTRUCTORS: Once you have completed ANY training, remember to send the training log to your Supervisor as well so that they may promote those who have passed at your training.
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
IV. ACTIVITY CHECKS
Since DDPS has a member capacity of 75 members, activity checks will be done often once we reach 60+ members. This will be to ensure that all of our members are active and helpful with Docklands. Different methods of checking activity will be used ranging from a simple obstacle course with a badge at the end to messaging the Director or posting on the wall. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
V. CHATROOM RULES
If you would like to be added to the DDPS skype chatroom, please send your skype username to the Director of DDPS and you will be added to the chatroom. All Docklands skype chatrooms are monitored by Vritix, and they must abide by his official Docklands chatroom rules located here: https://goo(DOT)gl/2bN5j7 **

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
VIII. SUSPENSIONS
Only Supervisors+ may suspend any DDPS members and it must have a valid reason with supported proof (Video or screenshots). If you are not a Supervisor and would like to report abuse or corruption of DDPS members, please send proof directly to the Director to investigate with a detailed description of the issue as well as names of anyone involved. Once suspending someone, you must send the Director a message with the following: Name of suspended, reason for suspension with proof, start date of suspension, end date of suspension, if they need to be demoted after suspension, and any other important related information.
