It’s the same thing over and over again. There are a couple exceptions like TCC and FC.
Here I will argue that the suppression of diverse gameplay in clans is pointless and harmful.
I’m not going to sit here and pretend that this is 100% fact. Because it isn’t. My personal bias and taste surely play a role here.
1. Clan wars are treated as a sport. Like any sport, the rules and tools of the game are fairly consistent. In order to be a part of the ‘league’ or community of that sport, you need to conform to their standards.
2. There are two primary reasons for a clan war. To prove respective skill or power to a wider audience (egotism), and entertainment.
3. In order to have “compatibility” between teams, the rules and tools should be the same for all. If they were different, you would invalidate the results of the competition. If team A uses guns, while team B uses swords, you can hardly expect the results to be reflective of the team’s respective skill or power.
4. To lack diversity is to be boring. Now, to be fair, a baby can be entertained by jiggling keys. So if you enjoy doing the same thing over and over again, then more power to you! In general, the trend is that diversity is more interesting than the lack thereof. At this point in time we only have two gameplay styles: Lunging Swords and Raycast Guns. This is hardly diverse.
5. Most people do not believe in the validity of clan war results. In other words, clan wars are viewed as ineffective in determining respective skill or power.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
6. If 5 is true, then 3 is no longer a source of justification for 1. Compatibility will not lead to a validated clan war. The clan war is perceived as non-reflective of skill/power whether or not the gameplay was different.
7. Considering 6, 2 is still valid, but out of the two goals only entertainment can actually be obtained.
8. Entertainment does not require compatibility. In fact, 4 suggests that diversity leads to more entertainment.
Sacrificing diversity makes clan warfare more boring and less fun, and it fails to prove the validity of clan warfare (In other words, it’s making sacrifices for no good reason). Diversity similarly cannot prove the validity of clan warfare, but at least it’s more fun and interesting.
Look around you and see how much effort is put into making clan wars “fair”. The war terms, bickering, closing forts, flame threads and resulting drama… it’s all pointless because honestly Hardly anyone outside of the two clans involved actually care. Roblox players are more or less concerned with their own business. Normal sports work because third parties do care. They care so much that they spend money just to see it.
Meanwhile people brag about winning on C&G and are more likely to receive criticism than praise. Designing a good game can be so much more than Lunging Swords, Raycast Guns, and terminals. Maybe our #1 goal should be just that. A good game. One that isn’t repetitive, and always has something new to offer.

| Maybe because most people on C&G are 12 year olds that don't belong here? |

| The last 3 paragraphs are the conclusion. The rest is just supplemental to the argument. |

| My initial suggestion would be to revive the classic plane genre. Seems like the easiest major gameplay style to introduce/re-introduce. |

I saw some post earlier complaining about how boring patrolling is.
We need to hand rewards to these people who sacrifice their time to patrol the fort in case of a raid.
Furthermore what if we created a group where all the high ranks join and alert other high ranks if they do want to raid. |
