(That meaning C&G)
Don't be selective. Don't be elitist. Don't be cold and treat newcomers poorly.
If you are in a position of power in a clan, make attempts to appeal to a much larger audience for your memberbase. Grow in numbers, run ads, recruit people as much as you can - both new and experienced. Make attempts in your group to train the newcomers who aren't so good at clans/fighting.
RAT is a good example of a group that manages to have a wide selection of both experienced and inexperienced members. In fact, the first rank has no privileges in the group (although that isn't the approach I recommend.)
What I recommend is getting as many people as possible, and then apply limitations to the first rank and create a specific section of your group that is >SOLELY DEDICATED< to training new people/noobs. This way you are getting more people into your group, and in turn getting more people into the clan world. This is what A-SOV will be doing.
That is all.

People are selective because they only want their friends as members
People act like elitist's to up their confidence, even when they're garbage.
People who are cold to newcomer's are scared that they'll replace them one day, so they try to shun them away. |

"no one cares you loser go kill yourself"
The fact that you think the lamest attempt at trolling is funny is worth tricking the doctor for.

Powerclans are okay, but we should probably follow Seviro's advice here.

Supporting powerclans and supporting my position is contradictory.
Powerclans, and the uprise of them, is general what contributed to a dying clan world - among other factors.
If the powerclan keeps to itself, that's fine enough. But most do not, and they impose their cancerous values on every clan they affiliate with.

I think everyone on CnG are fairly circle-jerky, or preachy but inactive.
It's angst-y teens you're talking to. They don't want to change if they don't have to. This is a game with almost no rules, why would teens NOT be attracted towards keeping it that way? |

@WannaBet
It's easier to change things from one small position to another. It's less easy to change from one extreme to another.
Change is gradual, and there's not many resources here to do a large-scale project.

I just said they're okay. Chill lol.
Powerclans can still be powerclans if they aren't so selective.

| The good people who can do stuff are kind of wasted talent and activity. There are different platforms that could benefit others/be far more effective than this one, cause this one feels fairly stuck. |

You can be a powerclan without being elitist.
My reference? 2012-era TGI.

2012-era TGI wasn't a powerclan. It was just a powerful group.
Besides that, they trained their new members, which is literally what this advises.

With a dev team that hasn't worked with their own players since the beginning of the game's official release, and a cancerous community of bad trolls, angsty pre-teens, and ego monsters, It's not hard seeing why the clan world is failing itself.

truth
powerclans could actually play a positive role in retaining people who join clans by providing them with an environment composed of other veteran clanners such as themselves, but when powerclans begin to impede on the growth of superclans by encouraging people to rank clans based on aspects that superclans are not designed for (i.e. wars) they simply end up hindering their own scope of recruitment. it's why superclans went down in 2013 when forum clans rose, and it's why forum clans have died out in 2015 because there is simply not enough people out there that they could recruit. |

"irrelevant if nobody is having war"
one of the clans that contributed the most in 2015 to recruitment and activity was aa - a clan that did not believe in having wars. when it changed its policy to fight rat, the group went south. |

| we are. me bringing aa up is a way of saying 'how come if war is so vital, the clan that arguably contributed the most this year had an anti war policy?' |

I think people should just stop being close minded d-bags considering how that doesn't help the community. The closed off group of C&G'ers and powerclans including their leaders has hurt the community bad.
C&G is like a stereotypical high school from cheesy movies: there are stupid groups/types of people that separate the community rather than uniting it and helping it become interesting, fun, and enjoyable to be in.

i dont see how RAT has contributed the most
theyve done nothing but cause other clans problems when it came to fighting wars because theyre afraid to lose just like 90% of other clans today
1 clan that does nothing but host trainings all day isnt helping or contributing to the clan community |
