I want to make something that will give me a certain number of points, and also can be upgraded.
What would be a good equation to have the amount of points received, and the cost of the upgrade to increase? |

| Hmm. Your statement seems somewhat vague. Do you want such an equation to increase in direct proportion? Please specify the relativity between the operands. |

Example equation:
local Points = 10 local cost = (Points^2)-(Points/2) function OnUpgrade() Points = cost end
-- I want something like this, but a different equation... Something that goes up at a different rate. |

The price of cost should go up but not the amount of change
Or the price should go up more than you would if the amount of change didn't go up |

Yes, that is what I am looking for, and what is a decent equation to do this with?
Sorry if some stuff I say is not making since, it it 1 am here for me, I've been working with my robotics team all day and came home only to do college work, I'm a bit tired lol |

Test around with random equations using the Desmos site It's an online dynamic graph that lets u test things really quickly. I used it to find a random algorithm for exponential increments.
