Which one of these PCs is better? Looking to upgrade for recording/gaming. It seemed completely one-sided to me (for the Vibox), but I wasn't sure since it used an AMD processor - and i've heard Intel ones are much better.
Asus G20AJ-US006S: 4th gen Intel Core i3 processor (3.5 GHz) 1TB Hard drive, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 745, 8GB DDR3 memory, w/ Windows 8.1, Keyboard & Mouse
OR
Vibox Sharpshooter: AMD FX 4300 (4.0GHz), 1 TB Hard drive, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 (1GB), 16GB DDR3 memory, w/ Windows 8.1, Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse & Headset, and WarThunder (whatever that game is)

both CPUs are complete garbage if you plan on streaming or even recording you might have a hard time
but the vibox would be better |

| Both CPUs and GPUs are underperforming, but I really would advise you to get the Asus. Intel CPUs are just stronger overall than AMD CPUs. Also, if you're using either of these PCs for gaming, just do yourself a favor and get a better GPU as well. The GTX 745/750 are not good at all unless you're planning to play some really low end stuff. If you have the knowledge, you should just build your own. |

in fact, here's a parts list i suggest for around the same price point of the vibox;
CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($254.88 @ OutletPC) CPU Cooler: ARCTIC Alpine 11 GT 28.6 CFM Fluid Dynamic Bearing CPU Cooler ($10.97 @ Amazon) Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z170-HD3 DDR3 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($99.99 @ SuperBiiz) Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($29.99 @ Newegg) Storage: Kingston SSDNow V300 Series 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($43.89 @ OutletPC) Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($49.98 @ OutletPC) Video Card: MSI Radeon R9 390 8GB Video Card ($319.98 @ SuperBiiz) Case: Corsair SPEC-01 RED ATX Mid Tower Case ($49.99 @ Micro Center) Power Supply: Corsair CX 600W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($47.98 @ Newegg) Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer ($17.78 @ OutletPC) Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM (64-bit) ($87.95 @ OutletPC) Total: $1013.38
go to pcpartpicker's website and after the com put '/p/J2TR23' - you can find links to the parts, though they will be american so if you're not in the US you'll have to find them elsewhere |

windows 10 supports DX12 - with an AMD card you can take advantage of higher FPS in future game titles that support DX12 natively
you could switch to 8, 8.1 or 7, but you'll lose this advantage. you could also get some form of linux if you wanted to cut the 100 dollar windows license out of the budget |

Both of the original builds are trash, also there's a tool to delete all spyware and disable cortana in the registry.
I'd take advantage of directx11 straight away. |
