i mean it might but if it says for windows 10 they couldve made it only for windows 10
i mean you might be able to do the compatability mode for windows 10 if you are able to do that, but i think you can only go backwards with compatability mode
so
its worth a try i suppose |

"Experience advanced precision and comfort on Windows 10 PCs, laptops, and tablets, as well as Xbox One with the Xbox Controller and Wireless Adapter. Featuring responsive thumbsticks and an enhanced D-pad, this is everything you’ll need to elevate your gameplay wherever you go.*"
is what it says, no specs or anything

It wouldn't work, like you said it's backwards compatible, not forward.
And I don't want to have to spend £60 on a remote and dongle to find out I need to download a os that spies on you

"The Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows is compatible with devices running Windows 10, Windows 8.1, or Windows 7. (A different wireless adapter, the Xbox 360 Adapter, is compatible with Windows 8.1, 8, and 7.)"
so it looks like it will work
i think ,
