One of the main reasons they do this is to prevent viruses or scams, but what if the rule was changed to "No malicious websites or websites with adult content"? Many people just want to show people awesome things they have created on other websites, or want to show them cool things with websites that share online images. Or people want to play games with each other online, or have parties where they can play music and chat. Of my experience on the forums, nobody has ever posted malicious or inappropriate websites.

This rule isn't actually taken too seriously, I've seen clonetrooper1019 post some roblox related dev related stuff (like the update log) and he said himself that they don't care about it. Support, just remove this, but like the rule you said. It's just a way that works easier for the filter to recognize, and doesn't make the moderator systematically have to visit the site to either get jumpscared or get forced downloads on their PC.

| Support. I remember during a Live Stream about a year ago they talked about allowing Google Doc links to be posted on Roblox because Google is pretty secure about their stuff. Yet when i put one in a group shout or in a group desc it pops up as "[Content Deleted]" or I get a message not to post off site links. Altogether it needs to be taken away. If you don't trust the way a site looks before clicking it then be smart about it and don't go to it, common sense. If you go to the site and it is a scam or whatever report the person for it and hope for the best. In the end it's up to you to go to the site and if you do you're doing so at your own risk. It's just the way of life. |
