"i can't stand using machines like that" it's not even that outdated tbh it runs as fast as a modern laptop, if not, faster |

I have an Optiplex 745 from 2006 and a Pentium D @ 2.8Ghz
It has no RAM, other than that it would work. I also have access to some from 2004 and 2005, but not sure if they are worth it and got the newest one.

"i dont like laptops" i'm just making an analogy okay besides, i don't do gaming 24/7, i do a lot of different things with my computers, that's why i have a computer dedicated for every task i do (lot of them were saved from a trip to the dump so i feel good about saving them) |

Definitely not the tower, my school wouldn't have any of those.

I don't understand what you mean.
I run CS:S at 3000fps on maxed settings. I play the old GTA games (in compatibility mode) in GTA SA specifically, I have to set the affinity of the process to use 1 core, and then it works beautifully. GTA VC needed to run in compatibility I believe. GTA III was fine. |

That's where I get all my 80GB drives, I have about 8 now, have to check what type though. 5 of them are Seagate from what I know.

and since the 745 has a q965 chipset, it can probably handle a core 2 quad q6600 easily so yeah, i'll be installing a q6600, 4gb ddr2 800mhz, nvidia quadro 600 1gb, and MAYBE even an SSD
but i was so happy to see that it came with a serial ATA dvd-rom drive, that was amazing i really need one of those so yaaaaaaaay
sadly it came with 2gb of ddr2 533mhz and it's all 512MBx4 DIMMs so that sucks :((( |

@erlaa try running rct2 on windows 7 via steam, it's a nightmare it crashes when you press the windows button, saving barely even works, etc. |

oh wow
the only game I've had issues with is GTA III on another pc but that's only on windows 10 and you can fix by running compatibility
on this pc which has windows7 I have no issues |
