The most realistic one is that he could be Darth Plagueis, but ik there are other theories that people have, what's yours?

@Alpha, I know that, but "who" is he? What's his place in the Star Wars universe besides supreme leader of the first order?

I like the idea of it being darth plagueis it'll also explain that if he was there throughout all the movies, why the empire and first order are taking such similar steps (ie the death stars and star killer base (is that what it was called?) |

Palpatine thought he killed him, but it would still make sense because he can cheat death and make it seem like he died when he really didn't

WHY DO WE NEED TO KNOW JUST WAIT UNTIL THE NEXT MOVIE IS IT LIKE SOME DISEASE WHERE YOU WILL DIE OF TERMINAL CANCER UNLESS YOU FIND OUT WHO THE PERSONA BEHIND SNOKE IS? its not even that interesting, what does it all lead up to? just a few "ohhh". curiosity has gone too far on lores in general, you will eventually find out everything if you are patient. and if you dont? screw it. we didnt want to know in the first place. |

@Froggo exactly, and supposedly he could create life using midichlorians, why wouldn't he be able to revive himself The only thing I can think of that goes against the theory is that Plagueis species is Muun, and while the Muun species and Snoke look familiar, there are physical differences.

Darth Bane died. It is confirmed in the Clone Wars.
Same with Plagueis; he is confirmed dead. No chance he revived himself. |

@Alpha someone woke up on the wrong side of the dirt
Honestly we just want to know, does it really matter, life/death? No, but true Star Warsians as myself want to know.

I just think he's an added character but he has connections to someone important in the series.

@Dark the Vader theory doesn't make logical sense. You saw him at the end of the battle of Endor, or at least you saw him in the force along with Kenobi and Yoda.
