Ah. If you liked the beta, you should like the full game. The only downside is the lack of singleplayer story. Everything else is pretty much perfect. |

"only downside is the lack of singleplayer story"
How about the lack of content, jedi and vehicle powerups, 50 dollar season pass, no clone wars, and more.
"Everything else is pretty much perfect"

"How about the lack of content, jedi and vehicle powerups, 50 dollar season pass, no clone wars, and more."
Only content lacking is planets. I would of love to seen maps such as Death Star and BEspin come back, and i'd be interested in a few Imperial Coruscant maps.
By 'Jedi' i suppose you mean hero powerups? Well, 6 is fine tbh, they're really well balanced. Who else would they add from GCW? Yoda? He's retired from combat in GCW era. Ben Kenobi wouldn't fit as he never took part in any battles.
Lack of vehicle powerups? There's barely any more vehicles they COULD add. It's got pretty much all of the vehicles from the GCW era. Go watch the original trilogy and tell me if you see any more.
"No clone wars" I would've liked to see clone wars, i love the prequels! But it's undeniable that the Original trilogy is a much better series of films. Prequels were made with a bias towards children, and this game is a 16. This game was going for a more serious take, and droids going round saying "roger roger" doesn't really suit that.
"50 dollar season pass" Do you have to buy it? No. It's designed for people like you who whine about lack of maps, when there's about 15 right now.
"(laughs hard) Best joke of the year. You will become the world greatest comedian." >"cuteboy" top kek Also, why are you laughing in my face about my opinion? Do you realise that, by doing that, noone will take you seriously?
Listen bud, i don't wanna be hostile to you. I just wanna have a civilised debate about this game. You show no respect to me, so i won't show any back. |

no, I love this game and I admit it seriously lacks content. that's one of it's major downfalls.
"By 'Jedi' i suppose you mean hero powerups? Well, 6 is fine tbh, they're really well balanced. Who else would they add from GCW? Yoda? He's retired from combat in GCW era. Ben Kenobi wouldn't fit as he never took part in any battles. "
Yoda retired? I'm sorry, why did he train Luke during the Galactic Civil War then?
Ben Kenobi never took place in any battles? Right, but did the Emperor go on the field with his men during the movies? No, but the Emperor is still a villain pickup.
How about Chewbacca?
How about IG-88?
How about Grand Moff Tarkin?
How about General Maximillian Veers from Battle of Hoth?
"Lack of vehicle powerups? There's barely any more vehicles they COULD add. It's got pretty much all of the vehicles from the GCW era. Go watch the original trilogy and tell me if you see any more. "
The vehicles don't have different stats though. They are just reskins of eachother, excluding the T-47 Airspeeder.

The prequel movies were supposedly intended for children (lolno) but that doesn't mean everything in the Star Wars universe taking place during that era is intended for children. Tell me, do you think Battlefront II is intended for children?
According to ESRB's website, Battlefront II is actually slightly worse when it comes to maturity. Battlefront EA has violence (described by ESRB) while Battlefront II had mild language and violence while also having The Clone Wars in it's campaign.
"50 dollar season pass" "Do you have to buy it? No. It's designed for people like you who whine about lack of maps, when there's about 15 right now. "
The bad thing about it is that you have to shell out the extra $50 if you want to have additional maps that should've been included in the base game.
This would easily be one of the best games but Dice screwed it up with a lack of content. No matter how much you try to sugarcoat it.

"no, I love this game and I admit it seriously lacks content. that's one of it's major downfalls." I know it lacks some content, that's what i'm saying
-
"Yoda retired? I'm sorry, why did he train Luke during the Galactic Civil War then?"
Retired from combat. Never seen with a saber during the originals. His use of a saber during the prequels was a major critiscism. It doesn't suit him; he's supposed to be a teacher and wise person, as he's portrayed in the originals, not a warrior. (tbh i didn't mind it too much in the prequels, it was pretty funny seeing him go all out on dooku and palpatine lol)
-
"Ben Kenobi never took place in any battles? Right, but did the Emperor go on the field with his men during the movies? No, but the Emperor is still a villain pickup."
Mkay, but he's a sith lord. War is one of their key ideals. (See Code: "Peace is a lie, there is only passion.") It's likely somewhere, somehow, in the EU, Emperor Palpatine did fight on the ground. But i don't really know. Good point, however.
How about Chewbacca? I forgot about him, i agree, i'd like him too
How about IG-88? Hm.. I suppsoe they had to choose between IG and Boba. IG is, to an ordinary gamer, pretty much the droid version of boba.
How about Grand Moff Tarkin? lol, that would be hilarious, but so cool. This is actually a decent idea. He's in combat armour a few times in the Rebels TV show. But i honestly doubt they'll do it.
How about General Maximillian Veers from Battle of Hoth? The fact that i barely know this guy probably means that most people don't. He really isn't big enough of a character.
Also, i'll just add, Lando would be kickass.
-
The vehicles don't have different stats though. They are just reskins of eachother, excluding the T-47 Airspeeder.
I don't really believe in this one, but i can't find proof for either sides. Besides, that wasn't my point. If the vehicles are the same then that's quite nice balancing. Anyway all i was saying was they put in all the vehicles they could add, and to ask for any more would be impossible.

It's pretty weird Prequels have JarJar and silly droids and fart jokes but also have politics and dark storytelling (ep3)
The original trilogy was intended for both. I think the prequels were too, but leaning more towards kids.
"Tell me, do you think Battlefront II is intended for children?" Well, i think it leans more towards kids than adults. But no. I don't really see your point
"while Battlefront II had mild language and violence while also having The Clone Wars in it's campaign." I'm pretty sure it was a 12
anyway
I made this point on another Battlefront post, and i should include it here also. After thinking a bit more, the main reason Clone wars wasn't added was because of how much longer it would of took to include the maps, vehicles, models, and voice actors of the prequels. The game took about 2 years to make. That could've been a potential more 2 years we'd have to wait. I've been waiting like 7-10 years for this game.
-
"The bad thing about it is that you have to shell out the extra $50 if you want to have additional maps that should've been included in the base game."
I'm pretty sure Bo3 has a $50 (£40) Season pass. The Battlefront one will have even more stuff than that and take much longer to make. When it omes down to it, each of the 4 DLC's is about 2 planets or something, and if each planet has about 3 maps, just imagine how long it will take to make them to the level of detail the maps already included are. If there's two new heroes each time, that's a whole new character model and animations to be made, aswell as authentic voice acting and sound porduction. New guns to model and sounds for them to be made, new star cards to be balanced. They've gotta get their paycheck.
-
"This would easily be one of the best games but Dice screwed it up with a lack of content. No matter how much you try to sugarcoat it."
Sugercoat it? I'm not. I criticise things i think need to be. I'm giving my fair opinion. IMO it's a good game. Not the best, ofcourse. But a good game, and i think people nitpick at the wrong things.
Anyway, nice to finally see someone who comes up with a decent argument, lol

I swear, every single Battlefront thread devolves into this
I'd like to post about Battlefront on here more, especially concerning online and mods for II but I don't want to deal with every damn thread turning into an argument between the weeb and all the "Battlefront EA is the worst game ever made" bandwagon riders. |

lol, it's become a thing now? I suppose it's happened on like, 3 threads now I just really like the game, and despite some people's criticisms being legit, many are bandwagon insults without evidence |
